i took a couple rest days last week and my body was definitely feeling sooo much better today😈💪🏼it kinda mixed up my usual lifting schedule so i started off this #monday with a shoulder/tricep workout and boyyy i was feelin it😅here is a lightweight shoulder burnout that uses only one piece of equipment🔥

grab a lightweight barbell and do the following👇🏼
20 reps military press (in front)
20 reps military press (behind) 
20 barbell front raises
complete all 3 exercises with no rest in between and repeat 4x🔥

seems easy at first but trust me-throwing this in at the end of a shoulder workout will make those lil baby boulders burnnnn

all jokes aside-i want to talk about how truly grateful i am to have fitness in my life (i promise i’ll try to keep this short n sweet)👉🏼historically, this time of year has been rough. it was usually around now that i would be starting my steady decline back into my eating disorder-i kid you not, it was like clock work. i realize i don’t talk very much about my struggles anymore because they seem like they are so far in the past, but they really aren’t. this is only my 3rd january spent outside of a hospital. i’m going into my 3rd year of recovery and i have to say fitness is what saved me. i am so grateful for the friendships i have created...for the support system i have built...for everyone who has been following my journey...and for this lifestyle that keeps me in recovery day in and day out❤️#Gratitude

a couple exercises from today’s workout comin at cha💪🏼🔥#backtothebasics #getit #becauseitsbackday -
1️⃣wide grip lat pulldown
4 sets-increasing weight each set
2️⃣bent over rows (i personally like the smith machine for this exercise)
👉🏼here i performed 12 reps with the original and then decreased weight little bit and implemented holds at the top of each rep until failure and oooooo it burned so good👌🏼

happy friday🎉woke up feeling a liiiiiitle leaner than i have in the past couple weeks and noticing little things like this is SO MOTIVATING🤓one of my new year’s resolutions is to work on being kinder to myself and acknowledging the little changes i see and victories i have! switching my mindset from “it’s not good enough yet” to “i’m further than i was yesterday”💗you are always your own toughest critic, but realllllly you should be your own cheerleader #yaknowwhatimsayin 💁🏻‍♀️

this is one of my favorite exercises to burn out my lats on #backday 😈

single arm straight arm pull downs(👈🏼thats kinda a mouthful) i use a medium weight and do as many reps possible on each side and then repeat for 4 sets—it burns so good🔥

**side note** you can see that i’m really not “gripping” the handle and instead just letting my hand rest on it—i like to do
this because i feel like it helps me focus this exercise in only my lats👌🏼

first workout of the new year and back on that selfie grind✅😂🎉it’s so easy to set goals at the start of the new year and either 1. completely forget about them or 2. lose track of them over the course of the year🤷🏻‍♀️a couple tips i have for sticking to your new year’s resolutions👇🏼

1️⃣make goals that are realistic! set a challenging yet obtainable goal
2️⃣make little goals within your goal—try setting milestones you want to hit on your way to your ultimate goal
3️⃣be specific with what your goal is and how you’re going to reach it! this is where planning comes in...and if you take the time to write out a solid plan you’re more likely to follow it!
4️⃣write it down, make a collage, make it your phone wallpaper....something that is a visual reminder that you will see every day!
5️⃣don’t forget to celebrate your victories—big and small! it’s so important to reward yourself and keep your motivation high!
