Fatos:
Numa pesquisa publicada 56 mulheres com sobrepeso foram testadas durante 13 semanas. Um grupo fazia apenas dieta, outro dieta+30 min de aeróbio e outro grupo dieta +60 min de aeróbio. Ao final não houve diferença entre os grupos. Mostrando que aquela pessoa que fez apenas dieta emagreceu igual a quem caminhava por 30 ou 60 min.

Outro trabalho interessante foi realizado com 74 pessoas durante um ano e quatro meses. Os participantes foram orientados a treinar entre 55 e 70% do VO2 max, pra manter um caráter aeróbio no treino. Eles tinham sua dieta controlada e mantinham gasto de 667 calorias para homens e 493cal para mulheres.

Era esperado que ao final fossem perdidos mais de 27 kg de gordura, caso o exercício aeróbio emagrecesse de verdade, devido ao gasto calórico por sessão de treino multiplicado pelo tempo de duração do estudo!

Porém os homens perderam pouco mais de 5 kg e as mulheres, ah as mulheres... Coitadas! Não perderam NADA significativo!

#womanstrongworkout: try this #hiit routine I put the @toughgirlbootcamp girls through yesterday (and that I did myself after coaching class).

There are 4 rounds. I divided each round to target certain areas. You can do each move for 45 seconds with 15 second tests in between. (You can also do 30-60 second moves, and 15-30 second tests). There are 1 minute "active recovery" moves at the end of each round (a time to catch your breath and bring heart rate down slightly). Any questions, just ask! 🤗
🔹round 1: deals a lot with legs/glutes
🔹round 2: deals a lot with upper body strength
🔹round 3: focuses more on core/abs
🔹round 4: burpees. All. Sorts. Of. Burpees.

I swear consistency is the coolest thing. You're working hard, sticking to a good lifting regime, incorporating HIIT sessions, eating healthy and then you start thinking, 'Hey, where are my results? I've been working hard'. Then one day you walk in the gym and BAM! You're looking leaner AND feeling strong AF 😏 STAY CONSISTENT - that's the best advice anyone can give you!! If you consistently put the work in, you will be rewarded. Period. 💪💪💪Get after it my friends, set some goals and crush them 👊
