Oh lord today I entered the gym and instead of going to the cardio side I went to the weight side All BY MYSELF. I had to dig deep cause the minute I got over there I forgot every machine.😮 I did it! I got a morning pump in @metroflexgymfargo - First time there and I loved it!!
Then I worked a 10 hour day - I saw over 55 patients today- performing Stroke Screenings. Now I've got a 2.5 hour drive to Bemidji .... I’m not totally comfortable with my body at most angles (ESPECIALLY WHEN IM NOT FLEXING OR POSING LIKE IN THESE PHOTOS), but that’s what I’m going to be working towards. :) Day 1 of cutting! Woke up weighing 120 lbs/54.4 kg! Going to tone my body and lose about 1 lb/.5 kg a week on a calorie deficit and weight lifting. My end goal is to be about 107 lbs/48 kg and then I will build back up. 💕 We all start somewhere, I can’t wait to document my future progress! I also did leg day today as well as start school (lots of walking/stairs) and I’m DEAD.

💥TODAY SUCKED💥

Deadlifts and Dark Magic coupled with time off and now being sick equalled disaster in the gym. It was brutal today kids 😬😩
.
Things went something like this...i was supposed to do 3x5 and I attempted to add 10 lbs to the bar, so it was loaded at 265.
.
First set shown here....I got two reps off the floor and they felt shitty, I felt weak(think its the sickness talking) and I walked away.
.
Second set: got 3 off the floor, don't know if the third one actually went to full lock out.
.
Dropped weight off the bar, down to 235 and pulled 2 sets of 5 at that weight so I feel somewhat redeemed,  but not really.
.
Guess I need to rest and come back stronger next week.

What you eat for breakfast whether your doing intermittent fasting or not, shapes how you feel the rest of the day.  The meat,eggs/nuts and greens breakfast is the perfect combination of nutrients that will raise dopamine levels and promote focus and drive for the rest of the day.

The meat allows for a steady rise in blood sugar and eliminates that two PM crash.

Turkey veggie meatballs! 37 grams of protein per serving! Daaaaaaaamn son! I thought these almost were a disaster since the moisture from the veggies boiled over my muffin tin and left juice that burned on the bottom of the oven. My place might smell like something’s burning but my meatballs are tasty!!! 1 bag cremini mushrooms chopped 
1/2 onion diced
3 cloves garlic
1 cup broccoli rice

Sauté them til tender....adding seasoning of your choice. I’m a garlic and onion powder, salt n pepper kinda girl. I did jazz them up with some Milwaukee season @thespicehousechicago (people you need this in your kitchen!) Then mix one package of ground turkey about 1.5 lbs., with one egg and the veggie mix. Season again. Spray a muffin tin with PAM then start making your meatballs. They will seem a little wet since there isn’t any bread crumbs....and most likely bread crumbs would have sucked up some of that juice from the veggies. But I’m on day 8 of a challenge and bread crumbs are not in the cards this week. 
Bake 400 for 20 mins and then remove from tin and let cool. I topped mine with left over chimichurri cuz it’s amazing on everything!

Happy Monday! Thankfully the weather took a turn for the better and is sunny and warm -ish. 🌞 I headed to the gym this afternoon for Day 7 of #lg30x30. It was only 2 rounds, but I added one more round with no rest. 😥 So just barely over 30 minutes. It was perfect for today, since Mason had a minimum day today. Excellent Monday workout. Excited for yoga later! Xx

First and foremost, full range of motion reps with full lockout (not hyperextension) of the joints is NOT bad for you. THAT'S A LIE! In fact, it's the gold standard and the best way to build strength and handle the heaviest loads possible. Consider this approach as GAINZ VIA MECHANICAL TENSION. The inability to fully extend your joints without pain is actually a sign of joint problems that need to be addressed. And yes, there is a small % of the population that is hyper mobile that may want to avoid full range of motion.

However, using a constant tension stimulus or a strategic partial range of motion can be a useful technique to stimulate gainz with lighter loads and develop a better mind-muscle connection. The key is stopping short of lockout and never stopping at the top and bottom to pump as much blood into the working muscle(s) as possible. Consider this approach GAINZ VIA METABOLIC STRESS. I show an example of how to do this with pushups to make your pecs pop in the video above (Yes, it's true what they say- I was a lactation specialist in my former life). But you can apply this technique to any exercise or body part. It's also a great approach to use when you only have access to lighter loads than normal.

Day 8/80 Total Body Core Done! Post workout meal eggs, spinach and tortillas. My pre workout meal was a superfood shake with banana and unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I still have 3 more meals. If you want to eat and lose weight, then this is the program for you. I was on the struggle bus today from a bad night's sleep and a headache. It sure is easy to say fuck it but then I won't get results. When you want something bad enough you stop making excuses.
