The 3 things you MUST do if you want to start waking up early and what I have done for the past 12 weeks to get up and achieve my goals.
1. Why do you want to get up early?
If you don’t have a specific reason to change any action or behavior in your life, then there’s very little point or motivation in even trying. You must take time to figure out what your goals are and why you want to get up early - otherwise you’re just skipping sleeping and trading it off for watching tv or scrolling through your newsfeed.
So start by asking yourself what you want to accomplish? What excites you? Losing weight, increasing your income, gaining knowledge?
And the other question you must ask is why do I want this? If you don’t have a point in why you want it, then it doesn’t even matter if you want it, you must figure out WHY you want this and how it will impact your life!
2. Set a very specific bedtime and wake up time.
For me I get to bed no later than 10:15pm when I’m on the ball and waking up at 5:30am which mind you does not ALWAYS happen. But it has been way easier than ever before and I have been able to wake up with ease 80% of the time which is way better than ever before. When you set a specific wake up time and bed time huh start training your body in this is how it goes and your body starts to wake up easier because you have brought consistency into your sleep life. It’s very important!
3. Create a specific detailed plan of what you want to accomplish in the a.m.
If you do not know exactly what you want to get done then you are waking up - excited about achieving your long term goal but have no idea what to do today to get it done. So spend 5 minutes writing out what you are going to do to achieve your goal and build a habit.
For example: you want to lose 10lbs
So you set the goal of going to bed no later than 10pm and waking up at 6am.
You know why you want to lose 10 lbs because it will give you the confidence needed to ask for that raise, go out on that date or just feel more fulfilled as you go trough your daily life. So tomorrow morning when you wake up at 6 you have your water and workout gear laid out and you have your workout already plann - 33 minutes ago
