I was on the lookout for cheaper alternatives to Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel (which was my previous moisturizer) when all the hype about The Ordinary came out a couple of months ago. I wanted to try so many of their products! However, since I was still on a regimen that consisted mostly of products from my dermatologist, I could only really try TO's moisturizer.
As shown in the second photo, I pretty much used the life out of this tube. It has a thick cream-like texture (much like your typical all-purpose cream from the grocery store) and I can say that it actually did its job pretty well. My face feels adequately-moisturized upon use and it didn't give me breakouts or any unwanted reaction, but I must say that it feels a bit heavier and less-refreshing than my Clinique DDMG. However, you can't really beat it at the price! It costs only 5.80 USD (roughly 300 pesos) compared to Clinique, which cost me 900 pesos for the travel size alone. For this, I will be repurchasing another tube and continue using it until some other moisturizer catches my fancy.
Take note, though. It's not the best-smelling product out there so be wary if you're highly-particular about scents. Also, since I'm done with the regimen from my skin doctor, I can finally try out other The Ordinary products! So far, I've already ordered Niacinamide + Zinc, Alpha Arbutin, Caffeine Solution, and Advanced Retinoid. Will definitely post my thoughts on them in the future, so watch out for it.
