The days are busy. The day-job is stressful. It's been difficult to make the time for daily practice, so I do what I can on the commute.
Here's "This Thing" I wrote about 4 or 5 years ago. Working on connecting the point of view of the text and sending it out on completely unobstructed sound. This requires a specific release of the throat and sensual connection to the breathe. Working this way with text is best suited for Shakespeare, with such substantial poetry there will be an experience in of itself connecting with the sound. Working with my own words it helps me find the places where the verse is weak.
Reading poetry is good, speaking and sharing it is best.
