Hello! My name is Cath Shaw Truelove. Many of you are new or may be curious who's behind these posts! This photo is pretty typical...mouth open, plant in hand. I began Bees on a Bicycle because I love sharing, helping others with their gardens, and building community. Both my Grandads were farmers and my mom used to say their knowhow skipped over her and landed on my head. My formal education is in interior design, so that helps a lot with the indoor outdoor lifestyle aspects of the business. And somewhere in there I had an urban gardening company so I know from experience what it's like to make a garden look great and feel comfortable.
That said, experience and skill does not make a business run or customers want to buy. That comes from reputation. I'm a big believer in integrity and keeping your word. I'm known for my lists and long hours so I don't forget someone or drop a key detail. I have my days when that doesn't happen gracefully! That's when community comes in. Good Lord, I've been blessed with generous help from others in this business.
As Bees shifts into winter hours I look back on our first 5 months and see how far we've come. I'm very thankful. I look forward to 2018 and sharing it with you.
