If you've been seeing my Instagram Stories, you know I've been starting some loose and dark B&W sketches for a future (super far-off in the future) graphic novel. I had the idea for a graphic novel in 2015 and I'm starting to plant seeds for this project in my sketchbook, though I know this graphic novel will take YEARS before it comes into fruition (due to the sheer amount of work that needs to be done).
In the meantime, I've been sketching vignettes here and there and I'm excited about how I can draw what I find hard to talk about. Turn your pain into a painting, what's bad for your heart is good for your art, your mess is your message, #ArtHeals , and all that. Plus, this is an entirely new art journey for me— aesthetically and content-wise, my "heavy art" is such a huge departure from my happy-happy, shallow, and colorful art and as an artist, I'm so excited to be growing and branching out in an entirely different direction :) swipe for more pics.
Romans 8:28— In all things, God works for the good of those who love him. || I thank God for turning the bad into good and for giving me material and a story. Hihi
Btw, I broke up with my agent (don't worry, they didn't do anything wrong. It's not them, it's me. Haha). I am no longer represented by any illustration agency. That's a future blog post, too. - 55 minutes ago
