I wouldnt have had a gym if she hadnt invited me though, so im not gonna complain too much. We did day 3 of #h3parms and some yoga. Form needs to be touched on a bit, and I should probably stretch more. Like a lot more

Well, 5.5 year difference in this photo ⌚ I've changed from an unhealthy lad in a confirmation shirt to an individual who spends the majority of their spare time in the gym and eating, BETTER 😂 
I've learned to love something that I want to spend the rest of my life doing, and it all started on that one day I decided to get my ass in the gym! Remember it's never to late to start something new in life, if you fail at it, don't try and avoid it because you WILL come back stronger the second time!

The stair master can sometimes be neglected and forgotten. It is, in my opinion, a great cardio machine and a great way to strengthen your calves! Most people walk upstairs at some point in the day, whether you are at work, school, or at home. -
You may find yourself breathing hard after walking up stairs. This is where the stair Master comes in handy! Work on your endurance climbing stairs and grow those calves!💪🏼

Spider Curls were great today! It was a lighter weight day so i was only using a 30 lb EZ bar for 3 sets of 20.

Superman Cable Curls had my biceps super tired. I finished all 8 sets of 8-12 reps💪🏼 The rest time was only 30 seconds in between each set on these.

If I tried to do this post with the tri's like in my last post it would look like i don't have a pump cause of all the blood making them a blob. Did the shoulders and arms from @stevecook #h3parms. Did the shoulders a bit different than the sampler with a behind the neck barbell press instead of military press just to get target the rear delt a little more. I'll try and throw out a homebrew workout sooner or later

So I'll call today the start of @stevecook and company's 10 week arm program. I did the chest and back sampler before hitting arms just to say I can. Haven't ever really had my triceps pop this much after a workout so it definitely is doing what it said it would. I kinda had t-rex arms for some time after. I'm going to have to grab something so I can measure the before and after since I haven't done that for a while. Let's see how this goes #h3parms

Why Run the Rack? Time under tension, more muscle stress, great pump.
Training arms using different techniques is key, at the moment I’m implementing heavy eccentric training, pump style training and resistance within the Hypertrophic rep range, this is all key to arm growth. 
My muscle gain / ‘bulking’ season is almost finished, the final goal is around 100kg, I’ll be documenting my fat loss / ‘cutting’ phase when it starts properly In a few weeks and can’t wait for it 👊💪

Got a quick chest and back session in today and it felt great💪🏼 It doesn’t take a 2 hour session to be tired and put in work. Today’s workout only took about 30 minutes, but i got in and got after it!

Rows are, in my opinion, the best movement for Back gains. There are so many different variations of it. Next time, try this variation: Chest supported DB Rows💪🏼 contract those lats!

Metabolic stress was the second day of arms in the H3P protocol. Higher reps and more sets, but not to failure. It was a lighter weight day for arms to achieve a great pump💪🏼

Fall semester of 2017, sophomore year, was a tough one. Stress, emotions, and life struck hard causing a little bit of weight gain. I was working out and eating healthy but I wasn’t mentally engaged all the time. This spring semester, going into the new year 2018, I want to be myself again - stronger, more determined, focused, and happier. I’m going to start running like I used to, add in piyo for flexibility, and hit the weights harder than ever. I’m ready for a challenge and nothing will stop me! 2018- New Goals Set 👊
For me Arm development has never been something I’ve focused on, a lot of my training has come through heavy loads, low reps, longer rest periods, mainly prioritising strength.
So this year, for the first part at least, I’ll be working on specific muscle group development incorporating isolation movements including things like this Tricep Cable Kickback.
For me setting Goals is important whether it may be in or out the Gym, it might be something at home or a challenge for yourself, without them I’d lose motivation. Goals give me something to aim for and therefore a reason to train. Anyone else a goal setter? 💪👊

A question I get asked nearly every week is ‘’How often should I change up my workouts?”..

It really depends on a few variables, the most obvious been how advanced you are.
.
For myself, being in my 5th year of training I can say that my workouts will change on a weekly basis.
.
Whether you have a program or not, and considering how advanced you are, it might be worth establishing a guided program to suit you! (Luckily I can help you out 😉)
.
If you’re a beginner or just starting to use weights:
.
✅ Start with a full body program 3 days a week
.
✅ Start with higher reps, focusing on form > gradually increasing weight
.
✅ Build up to split training where you training 1-2 muscle groups per workout.
