🎸 I love training my strings 
Romanian Deadlift 1/1/4 
Once you have nailed your Romanian deadlift this is a variation you could add to your training. 
I prefer Romanians over conventional deadlifts when it comes to doing hypertrophy work on my hamstrings. 
With this variation I keep it to a single set, and low reps so I can focus on tightness and load. 
Your set up is the same as a conventional deadlift. 
Shin to bar. 
Set your shoulders back and down. 
Take a deep breathe in, hold, push the floor away. 
Drive your hips through at the top, slowly lower back down to mid shin, pause, come up for 1/4, pause, lower back down to mid shin before using your hamstrings to pull the bar back up. 
It’s very important that you do not use your lower back to move the bar. Your hamstrings and glutes must be the primary mover in This exercise .

1-1/4 SIT UP 
You will need a GHD to perform this one. 
Make sure your feet ar locked into the machine , and your hips are sitting on top on the pad. 
Start in an upright position, take your hands behind your head and slight chin tuck. 
Keeping your spine straight, abs braces and belly to spine. 
Sit back till your body is in a straight position. 
Pause, come up 1/4 of the range, pause, then come back down to the straight position before sitting all the way up. 
Master normal sit ups first before taking on this challenge ❤️ I️ performed 12 reps of these with a 2 min plank superset ✨

Current weight: 59kg - this is where I️ sit in my “off season” (I️ hate calling it that) 
I️ will aim to sit in the 57kg mark for the expo next month. 
Macros : 
5 Days x P150 C160 F65 
2 x high day P150 C350 F60 
I️ have kept my low days low because I️ have dropped my intensity back and focused more on mobility, structural balance work as my body needs that more than ever. If I️ need to add a circuit in I️ can. 
Legs will still be trained 5 x a week with 3 days of upper body. 
2 x rest days 🙏🏼

The single leg deadlift from the floor is a fantastic exercise to help strengthen hip stability, build your glutes and hamstrings without building your lower back and traps. 
Just like any exercise, technique is key. 
Master the movement before loading it up. 
Starting with 2 x KB from the floor either side of your foot. 
Your starting position is in the same position as a conventional deadlift (just with one leg)
Neutral spine, shoulders back and down. 
If you watch my hips- they stay parallel to the floor. 
This is really important. 
Once you have set yourself up in the correct start position, Push the floor away. 
Let your legs do all the work till the KB come to knee height before driving hips through at the top and into full hip extension.

I had a week off dieting and I will start again Monday to be ready for the @dubaimuscleshow next month. 
This months training focus is less bashing and more loving ❤️ I’ll be working on all my weaknesses to bring up my strengths. 
Laying down the foundations I need to bring my best package yet next year.
