#EatWellTip : If you’re not eating totally well, but want some balance then try adding lots of vegetables 🍅🍆🥦to your meal. Pictured here is organic pasta sauce (store bought so more sodium 👎🏾) with zucchini, squash, spinach, cauliflower, & carrots. It was served over whole wheat pasta. The sauce isn’t the healthiest since it’s not homemade, but adding vegetables makes its healthier. I made this instead of a side salad or side vegetables because this way the vegetables can’t be avoided! See the story highlight in my profile for more 👅🌿🌺

Loose skin is a fear of many mamas after pregnancy and really anyone losing a large amount of weight in a short period of time. 
I have so many girlfriends expecting this year! Something in the water!😜 This is why I wanted to share Shannon’s story. Salad ways for days! 😋
I love that there are so many different ways to make salads! I could make a different one for every day of the year by just swapping different ingredients. 
This guy, was just a quick and easy salad that I made whilst I was in #mealprepmondays mode. 
Add your greens, some colorful peppers, colorful fruit, a few trees, nuts and seeds and #voila !
ANNNNND I picked up my favorite crackers from my favorite store, Aldi! 🙌🙌 Artisan whole wheat triple seed organic crackers by Simply Nature, an @aldiusa brand.

In earlier times I used to have cheatmeals quite frequently, however I always felt bad after having them. 
So instead of profiting from them by using it as a mental break from dieting, I made myself feel even worse than before. This resulted in me eating whatever I could find quite often, which then ACTUALLY messed up my diet. (I'm talking 5000+ Kcal in one sitting 🤗)

So to sum it up, plan your cheatmeals so that they don't get out of hand, enjoy them and than get back on your diet right away! 😉

Today was the day I spent the entire weekend stressing over.  Mostly the timed nutrition. Ugh, nutrition.  But...I nailed it, and feel so accomplished as I lay here in bed.  Anything new like this comes with growing pains, and then I ended up with a ton of variables like where I would be geographically speaking and having to wait on the delivery guy for necessary equipment for the workouts. Where there’s a will there’s a way. It was actually quite nice to have my mom pick up everything on my grocery list, and then have her kitchen to destroy today as I meal prepped (I cleaned it up too.) The fear and anxiety I’ve been feeling leading up to today’s brand new program has faded drastically now that I’m in it and doing it step-by-step.  Sometimes we really do just need to decide and commit to really succeed!

Happy Monday familia 💕 answering a common question about nutrition 🌿 because it is so important that you know this if your goal is to ...
•
-recover fast / reduce soreness from a workout
-grow a booty (or any other muscle 😊)
-you want what you work hard for in the gym to SHOW.
•
 If one of the above applies to you then your post workout meal MATTERS 💪🏻.
•
In order to recover fast so that you can go back at it again, you must remember 3 things.
•
1. Get in a substantial amount of protein PWO to replenish amino acids.
•
2. Get in a substantial amount of complex carbohydrates PWO (sweet potatoes are my fav) to replenish glycogen (carb stored in your muscle).
•
3. Do it all within the “magic window” aka when your body NEEDS it . This time varies but I like to have mine within an hour & a half ✨.
•
Currently increasing my protein intake (without the need of 5-6 meals) because ain’t no body got time for that 😁 so I take @atp_labs Organic Vegan Protein Blend immediately Post & then eat my meal (shown here - 1 to 1.5 hours after).
•
Going IN DEPTH on pre - intra & post workout nutrition & supplementation in my next @youtube this Thursday 💕.
•

•White flour is refined flour that no longer contains the bran or germ, and hence lacking dietary fiber or vitamins. Canadian law requires that this type of flour be enriched with B vitamins and iron. This is known as enriched flour.

Wholegrain flour contains all of the grain, including the bran and germ. It’s therefore the most complete and the most nutritious. However, it has a shorter shelf life, because of the wheat germ, which contains perishable fatty acids, and can become rancid.

Whole wheat flour isn’t as complete and nutritious as wholegrain flour. By law it has to include at least 95% of the wheat’s components (the wheat germ is removed to increase shelf life). This creates confusion because this flour is after all not “whole”.

•Bottom line: the whole is greater than the sum of is parts!

Curry chicken salad that you can eat as is, throw in a sandwich, eat with veggies, or (my personal favorite) top with goldfish crackers.

1 celery stalk (optional if you’re a anti-celery)

5oz. chicken (or chickpeas!)

1 Tbsp mayonnaise .
Curry powder to taste
.
Eat with your face. Use different spices. Get fancy. But I recommend grabbing pre-pulled rotisserie chicken, if your grocery store sells it, to make life easier.

Also keeps well if you want to make it BEFORE you go to practice and eat it afterward.

Happy Fridaay everyone 😃❤️🙌 ... Love the weeks where my Bootcamp Ladies send me their transformation pictures after working on their Health Goals week after week 👊🏼👊🏼 none of us are perfect while improving on our health & fitness goals!
We miss workouts when we get sick or the day doesn’t go as planned. Our nutrition might go out the window and have that burger w/ fries lol. Or we play that comparison game & are too hard on ourselves.(yup, totally guilty of this!) But honestly??.. what has helped me stay on my own health journey is having a supportive team that shows up with me, imperfect moments and all! #mustkeepgoing
