Couple of years back someone asked me, how did you know this man was your husband?
I think what she really wanted to ask was, how did you land this type of man?
Well, I told her, I never would have said yes to an angel if I didn't first get God's go ahead, and I'm thankful that it turned out to be the best decision I've made so far.
And saying 'yes' , is just one of the many choices we will make.
Some people feel that a good marriage is a function of luck;some get it right, some don't. Why would a child of God believe that God would be so callous with his or her heart and life, knowing that marriage is intended for life?
Some ladies are groomed for marriage. I hear some ladies from certain tribes are groomed specifically to marry Rulers. They're taught to please, tantalize, sweet talk, seduce, scheme, the works.
Well, my dad mostly raised us girls. So, I didn't have that kind of training though I was raised well.
Infact , as a young lady, I was sure I wasn't going to get married.
When I met Moyo, I knew it was only a matter of time.
I went to God and lamented, I am not ready!
And He proceeded to train and groom me.
The first thing he taught me was to speak my marriage type into being. So long before we tied the knot, I prayed and spoke words from scripture, very often.
Like every marriage, we have had challenges, but God's word has kept us.
A good marriage is deliberate. It takes us refusing to bow in the storms, it takes us trusting God and playing the fool sometimes, it takes us casting our cares on Him, it takes us having done all, to stand!
