Double Cleansing ️️The MOST IMPORTANT step in your skincare routine!️️ Who knew so many of us needed a proper lesson in how to wash our faces?! Turns out many (like myself at one stage) really needed to be told! 🤷♀️What is double cleansing?
Is basically means you wash your face twice. Firstly with a product that breaks down make-up, SPF and sebum on the surface of your skin and then secondly with a product that actually 'cleans' your skin. Who needs to do it?
Anyone that wears, Eye Make-up, Make-up, Moisturiser with SPF or SPF. When do you do it?
At night time. To remove everything listed above. ♀️Why do you do it?
During the day, you (and your skin obvs.) are in lots of different environments, with lots of lovely airborne bacteria and pollution. Once the top layer of dirt is removed from your skin, this second round of cleansing will clean much deeper into your pores to remove any impurities, helping with, pigmentation, breakouts, signs of ageing to name but a few.. This second cleanse will also allow serums, moisturisers and clever night-time leave-on products like retinols to penetrate and work their magic much more efficiently!! ♀️How do I do it?
First Cleanse - The Make-up 'Remover' Cleanse, you use Eye Make-up remover (if you need it), followed by a Cleansing Oil, Balm or Cream. Two good ones I use are Clarin's Pure Melt and RMS Beauty's Raw Coconut Cream
Second Cleanse - The Skin 'Cleaning' Cleanse, you can use Cleansing Milks, Gels, Creams, Clay, Oils. There are a lot of really good/great ones. Try REN
Rosa Centifolia No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm, the Dr Murad Time Release Blemish Cleanser. Massage the Cleanser into the skin for at least a MINUTE and then rinse with luke warm water.
Trust me this is not some fad, you need to be doing this every, single, day.. Your skin can thank me later #365inskincare #skinemmies2017 #doublecleansing - 5 days ago
