Just like in fashion, it's the details that matter. Health is cumulative - it's what you do *consistently* that contributes or depletes your "health bank". Contributes : Morning Tai Chi -- gets blood flowing as the majority of blood has been sitting in the liver, detoxifying
Depletes : Getting up and quickly moving through morning tasks without some stretches and/or deep breathing
Contributes : Piece of fruit or a green drink (yes, many times bought, not made:) - the body is still detoxing from the night before so fruit or a green drink is the easiest thing to digest
Depletes : I used to have an organic, free-range 3 egg white omelet with organic spinach and faux cheese (dairy alllllways bothered me). No surprise, but this sat like a rock in my stomach -- all that protein immediately meant my kidneys worked overtime to filter all of it. Ugh.
And the "contributes" list goes on...hanging out with positive friends (ones who don't gossip or bitch - this is a biggie for me!), oil pulling, hot water with lemon, using non-toxic beauty products and cookware, switching to a vegan diet, using sprouted ingredients (sprouted almond butter, sprouted quinoa, sprouted fours and rice), not eating after the sun goes down and more. :). What are some of your favorite healthy habits?
