Excited to introduce another of our AMAZING volunteers, Brittany!
Here’s what Brittany said when we asked her why she loves volunteering at RDR:
“I feel like anything I can contribute is appreciated and I get a chance to love on some pretty amazing dogs. The best part of volunteering at the sanctuary is getting to help the group of dogs who aren't lucky enough to have a foster home. It's great to build relationships with them and learn about each of their unique personalities, give them cuddles, and leave them with a fresh bowl of food and a clean comfy kennel. It's also nice to work with and get to know other volunteers who share my same passion and when I show up and see "Adopted" written on a dogs kennel it's the best feeling!”
It’s a no brainer which of our current rocket dogs have stolen Brittany’s heart, Blue Blue is a striking Doberman/Am Staff mix who could use a little more meat on his bones. He is calm, well mannered, eager to please, and once you have his trust he will be your loyal sidekick for life. Brittany adds that “He loves belly rubs and keeping me company while I'm doing laundry at the sanctuary. I fostered him short term and found out that he is absolutely amazing in the car, will sleep through the night in his own bed, is in no way destructive, but needs a little work with housetraining (he was already learning super fast though). I'd adopt him myself but it might be best if he is the only animal in the home as he can be a little protective of his person”
