Soooooo yay for my third day of being a #gymshark and my second day of #jimstoppani #shortcuttoshred 👍🏾💪🏾☝🏾✌🏾 Even with the minor changes I made to my routine and eating habits this week, people complimented my muscle growth (and here I am #shredding and trying to increase a bit of #weightloss 🤣🤣🤣) and also the #toning of certain parts of my body (#calves and #waist 🙏🏾) Today was a bit of a leg day, butttttt of course the #workoutplan didn’t stop there and had me #getfitordietrying ☝🏾☝🏾☝🏾 I’m not mad though... sometimes you have to #beastmode in order to get your #transformationtuesday and #tuesdaymotivation on point!!! We got this #250kchallenge2018  and I can’t wait to see how we all not only transform for the challenge, but #transformforlife 👍🏾🏋🏾‍♂️

A little leaning out over the last month.

I haven’t been active these past couple weeks mostly because in my other life I’m the CFO for a really awesome company @fixatedesigns and being that we had not only a month end but also a year end, I’ve been stuck knee deep in financials. But being inactive on IG doesn’t mean I haven’t been working toward my own goals.
.
The progress you see here was only in the last month and included enjoying myself over the holidays and during parties etc. prep doesn’t start for another 8 weeks but that doesn’t mean that I’m not working toward my goals every day.
.
Progress is seen over weeks, months and years, don’t let the day to day fluctuations and ups and downs discourage you. If you’re putting in the work day in and day out then you’re doing what you need to do. Only you really know if you’re sticking to your plan. Don’t lie to yourself but don’t beat yourself up either. Just do the work.

I went out and picked up some chalk at Academy.The gym that I go to has chalk, but the bucket is always being moved and I can never find it😳 The times I've managed to get my hands on some chalk it helped me to keep my mind on deadlifting rather than on my hands.

I'm super excited to give this chalk a try tomorrow😆Tomorrows workout is a heavy leg day and I'm ready to squat and make some gains!💪

ABS. CORE. 
Let’s talk about it!
For the first time in a LONG time my core is(turning this into a was) my limiting factor/ where I would see form breakdown in my squats(low bar, high bar, front squat... you name it!) So we are working on it! I will be sharing some of my core workouts over the next month
A few things... I am working on making my core STRONGER(I am not doing abs to get rid of belly fat, doesn’t work that way 😉) so I am using heavier weight in my core work a couple days a week as well as doing bodyweight exercises. Just like anything else I started doing these with lighter weight and have progressed over the last few months 💪🏻
💚weighted roll up(I am thinking about driving the weight up through the ceiling and keeping my heels down)
💙hollow hold leg lowers(keep back flat on ground)
💚hollow hold flutter kicks(keep back flat on ground)
💙hollow hold alternating knees( keep back flat on ground)
💚farmers carry high knee march(stay tall, control, hold 1s for each knee)
💙Oblique Side Bend(most common mistake on this is using a weight way too light! 5-10lb is not going to do it!)
💚Single Leg RDL —> high knee hold

🔥 Do you (WANT) to get in shape?

I'm 100% serious, not joking 
You SAY you want to get in shape, but trust me you don't... If you did, it wouldn't be some after thought but a conscious decision that you make every day

You'd be waking up early to exercise even though you only got 4 hours of sleep because you were stuck at the office all night working on a big project for your company 
OR 
You'd be skipping that happy hour but instead you decide to indulge eat a bunch of crap have 1 too many drinks

If you really wanted a change you would actually make an effort to do.. You would stop making excuses about why your body is "magically" different. 
You would quit lying to yourself and just admit your out of shape probably put on an extra 20-30lbs but you tell yourself its muscle (it's not) 
You would actually exercise instead of getting on a damn treadmill casually walking and say you worked out

You would change your nightly routine to make sure you're getting enough sleep to recover and wake up feeling refreshed to tackle the day

You would surround yourself with like minded people who are all trying to better themselves instead of hanging out with people who are trying to bring you down 
You'd become the best version of yourself the 6-Figure man physically, mentally, and emotionally 
This post might be "too real" for some but I'm tired of the BS of people wanting results but not willing to do anything about.

Trust me, I get it that everyone has their own unique situations. Yes, yours might be tougher than other because you work 10 hours a day, have a family, etc I GET IT. 
The reality is that situation that is your life isn't going to change and you need to accept it as your own. 
Once you do that your excuses will subside and a new sense of believe and confidence will overcome you that you haven't felt for years.

You would quit lying to yourself and just admit your out of shape probably put on an extra 20-30lbs but you tell yourself its muscle (it's not) You would actually exercise instead of getting on a damn treadmill casually walking and say you worked out You would change your nightly routine to make sure you're getting enough sleep to recover and wake up feeling refreshed to tackle the day You would surround yourself with like minded people who are all trying to better themselves instead of hanging out with people who are trying to bring you down You'd become the best version of yourself the 6-Figure man physically, mentally, and emotionally This post might be "too real" for some but I'm tired of the BS of people wanting results but not willing to do anything about. Trust me, I get it that everyone has their own unique situations. Yes, yours might be tougher than other because you work 10 hours a day, have a family, etc I GET IT. The reality is that situation that is your life isn't going to change and you need to accept it as your own. Once you do that your excuses will subside and a new sense of believe and confidence will overcome you that you haven't felt for years. So after getting to the gym 5-6 days/week I wasn’t in love with my routine. Usually working on the same exercises multiple times a week. Sooo I started this program using an app on my phone. 1️⃣Don’t try and be anyone else but YOU. Instagram is full of fitpos. YES, save their workouts and listen to their advice (if it’s accurate and scientifically based), but at the end of the day YOUR body is different than theirs. What works for me, may not work for you or the next person. Do you research, take advice with a grain of salt, and find what works for you. I guarantee it will NOT be a magic pill, cleanse or quick fix.
2️⃣Just get there. Chances are you will not feel like going to the gym everyday or getting out the resistance bands for a home workout. But more than half the battle is just showing up! Even if it’s 15 minutes, make yourself a priority and GET THERE.
3️⃣Love yourself. No matter what! REAL and lasting progress will take time. Your body will go through changes and phases and that’s OK! Love yourself in each phase and workout BECAUSE you love your body, not because you hate it❤️
