#repost : Unflexed Roughly 180 lbs vs flexed structured mid to low 160's. Summer is here, and I know a lot of you are starting your fat loss transformation right around this time. You might have made a promise to yourself to start "eating clean", or to start doing cardio, or whathaveyou. 
Here are the key factors for my most recent fat loss transformation, and things that should be staple in yours.
-

1⃣FAT LOSS - A sustained caloric Deficit (12-15 Weeks)
2⃣WEIGHT TRAINING - Building then Maintaining as much strength as possible in all of my lifts, especially the key lifts
3⃣CONSISTENCY - hitting my macros that kept me inside a caloric deficit, day in day out, utilizing a flexible approach that made it easy for me to adhere
-
My fat loss had nothing to do with
βœ–how many meals I ate per day
βœ–how frequent I ate
βœ–what time of day I did my cardio
βœ–avoiding certain foods
βœ–avoiding sugars, carbs, or fats
βœ–high rep sets of "short quick workouts"
βœ–and many of the other things people falsely give credit to

Apparently losing weight is being seen as "unhealthy". But guess what?! Just because my fat% is lower now does not mean I'm suddenly not healthyπŸ™…πŸ» Actually all I've done to achieve these "results" is working on my health! πŸ’•

If you're an interested follower you might know I've been struggling with serious health issues. What I didn't tell you is that one of them made me gain about 8kgs of fat (IN 3 MONTHS!) even though I was eating normally

As you can see in this picture I'm feeling much more confident in my body and that isn't because my fat% is lowerπŸ™…πŸ» It's because slowly my body is starting to work again. Left pic me had a leaky gut, was insulin resistant and my body was in a constant state of inflammation. Trust me; that shit sucks! 😫

Lately there's been a lot of talking about losing weight being "unhealthy" and it kinda bothers me. If someone doesn't have that much fat on their body or is "skinny" it doesn't give you the right to judge their health. Health is something from the inside and calling someone unhealthy based on a picture you've seen or some kgs they've lost is total bullshitπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Not being able to lose weight or even gaining weight can be caused by health issues and should be taken seriously! Some energy was actually giving me the feeling of going there again. I am on a path pf following my heart and just doing the things I am feeling like doing. I am happy to see my sister, my mum and my cat again. I am grateful for the nature and fresh air around our house. I am just really happy to be here again. 😊 What do you guys currently do? Are you traveling or are you at home? 😊

Ever wondered why 'diets', taking the odd class, starting to workout then stopping over winter or on holidays, cutting entire food groups (carbs/fats) doesn't work in the long run? 🀚 because you need consistency πŸ— my progress from 2014,15,16-now was a series of ups and downs, figuring out what worked for me, and I'm still figuring out what works for me⁉ in all of these images in striving toward the one goal - fat loss πŸ’¦ something that has always been a marker for 'success' or to 'feel good' about myself. 
NOW I'm shifting this focus - in striving toward FEELING good, feeling STRONG, being happy at all stages of my progress βœ¨πŸ™ŒπŸΌ I never thought I'd have to work on the mental side, I thought that just fell into place, but here I am! πŸ”₯πŸ”₯I'm excited to keep striving for my goals whilst balancing a happy and importantly HEALTHY approach πŸ‘πŸ‘ I've got a fair bit of info on my blog (link in bio @sophactivelife) πŸ‘ŠπŸΌπŸ₯
