UPDATE - thanks everyone for your advice and suggestions yesterday! Bottom photo is before washing, top photo is after washing. I did heat set it with the iron before washing but it has definitely faded. I think I will stitch over the signature with black thread to ensure it’s permanent (hopefully my children and future generations will appreciate this!!)

ADVICE PLEASE - I need to wash this quilt that Tula Pink signed. I think she used a Sharpie but I’m not sure. Will the signature wash out? Should I stitch over it first (kind of like getting a texta autograph on your skin turned into a tattoo 😂). Any suggestions??

Working through my #onringolakequilt bit by bit as a leaders and enders project. I'm doing a half size one this time so hopefully that means it will be finished this year! #quiltvillemystery #bonniekhunter

All my blocks so far, I'm adding sashing and joining as I go to try and prevent this quilt from life in a box as a pile of blocks! #patchworkcitysewalong2018

All my quilty finishes for 2017. There's a few more that I couldn't include as they've been gifted or swapped during the year. Some of these are quilts I started many years ago and finally finished in 2017.

This quilt has also gone to a new home for Christmas - a thank you gift for a wonderful teachers assistant who helped my son settle into prep this year, and also helped me settle into having a son in prep!! Fabric is by @zenchicmoda.

This quilt was hard to part with but it was a gifted to a special lady who taught my son in Prep this year and also taught my husband 26 years ago! I started this quilt back in 2009 or 2010 before my son was born and used a layer cake of Authentic by @sweetwaterfabric. The pattern is based on a quilt from an old edition of @quiltmaniaeditions which I adapted to suit the fabric I had.

I just realised that I never shared a photo of my finished #tumblebugquilt !! I was lucky enough to test this amazing pattern for @cedarforksarah earlier this year. It uses a few nifty tricks and it comes together so quickly. I love it!!!

@lisajanlovestoquilt and @bibliosewandso your posts made me dig out my #patchworkcity quilt, I haven't done any of this for such a long time but I know my plan was to try and put some of that brown pearl bracelet into every block!

My most liked photos this year. Thanks everyone! I should really finish my En Provence quilt seeing as I may have just started the 2017 On Ringo Lake mystery quilt.

I can cross something off my never ending WIP list! I think I started this one back in 2015 using a quarter log cabin tutorial by @redpepperquilts. A few months ago I dug it out again and realised I was never going to make more of the small log cabins so I dusted off my maths brain and worked out a pattern for the giant log cabins. Now I just have to find somewhere to put it!!
