How was your New Year's Eve? Did you spend it in some amazing place? I was in Kiev, Ukraine and although I'm not a big fan of NYE it was good to be back in one of my favorite cities. Even in the gloomy weather it's beautiful and St. Andrew's Church is the best example of that!

Mt. Cook was the most spectacular place I've ever seen! I'm always very cautious with naming the place the most beautiful but here I have no doubts! Walking this trail felt like being in the Photoshop, so surreal!

It's been a while since my last post here and I have no excuse for my absence. Guess I just needed a break from Instagram as we all do every now and then. In the meantime I did some travels, including amazing New Zealand which I fell for big time! The Hooker Valley Track was the most beautiful place I've ever seen and I still can't believe I really was there, it feels like it's all photoshoped!

New post on the blog (link in the profile) about my day in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. I wasn't sure if I want to go but it turned out to be such a great experience! Here - the view of the abandoned city of Pripyat and the power plant in the close proximity. Have you been to Chernobyl? Or would you like to visit?

Macedonium - a gem of brutalist architecture - was the main reason why I went to Krusevo. And it surely didn't disappoint! Do you like brutalism too?

Krusevo was supposed to be my highlight of Macedonia but when I arrived the weather was so terrible I literally could see nothing (which was kind of good as I had no idea how high I had to climb to my hotel). The next morning was similar and I was ready to admit my defeat and head to Skopje but when I was checking out the sky cleared and I could finally see the town. And it was beautiful, so much better than I expected!

Bitola is home to a really charming and laid-back bazaar where you can buy just about everything and then spend time sipping strong and delicious coffee. Even in the afternoon, when the shops are getting closed, it's a great place to wander around!

Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, might not be the most beautiful city ever but it surely is a vibrant and fascinating place. I've been there three times by now and I know I will be returning over and over again! On the blog you will find the new post about my reasons to visit Pristina - link in the profile!

The National Library of Kosovo that you can see on the picture is considered one of the ugliest buildings in the world. For me it's beautiful!

When I was walking around Bitola, Macedonia far away on the hills surrounding the city I saw two airplanes - of course I had to find them! It wasn't easy but I managed and I wasn't disappointed! Not only the planes were pretty cool, even if very damaged but also the view around is was pretty amazing! What's the weirdest thing you've stumbled across your travels?

Bitola - cool and laid-back city in southern Macedonia - is known as the city of consulates. You can find some of them on the main pedestrian street Sirok Sokak. The city was a huge positive surprise for me and I enjoyed it a lot! If you're heading to Macedonia be sure to include Bitola in your itinerary!

I returned to Belgrade to finally get to know the city and I'm glad I did! I've been there few times before but always very briefly, heading to my next destination. This time I focused on the city and as it turned out 2 days weren;t enough to see all Belgrade had to offer! I will be back, for sure! Here: Kneza Mihaila street - the main pedestrian street in Belgrade

I love trams (or any rail transport) and those in Budapest certainly are picturesque when riding along Danube river!

I was supposed to fly to Serbia tomorrow but there's been a small change of plans and I'm going by train! It's been years since I did a proper train trip across Europe and I love those! First stop: Budapest! Who else loves train travels?
