Getting back into exercise postpartum? Do you have Diastasis Recti? Bridges are a great exercise as they help strengthen your glutes and lower body and don't over challenge your core. For the best technique, exhale as you press your heels into the ground and squeeze your glutes, inhale as you lower. Diastasis Recti, or abdominal separation, is common among postpartum women. Not sure if you have it? Try this test: lay on your back with your knees bent up, tilt your head into a crunch and feel along the midline of your abdominals. If you feel your fingers go deep into your belly and you can fit more than 2 fingers across the midline, this is generally considered a positive finding.
