#fbf Stone street is one of the oldest and most iconic cobblestone streets in Manhattan. GET THIS: A former beekeeper (Harry Poulakakos) from Sparta, Greece owns HALF the street. Harry began working as a busboy in 1956 and later managed and bartended at Delmonico’s, a Wall Street steakhouse. 🔱
___
In 1972, Harry opened his own restaurant (Harry’s) at the top of Stone Street at One Hanover Square. He now owns Adrienne’s Pizza Bar, Bayard’s, Financier, and is a partner in Ulysses’ which are ALL on Stone Street. Harry is responsible for turning a once old and undesirable part of town into one of New York City’s hotspots. Talk about the American Dream, huh? 🔑
___
Fun fact: Stone Street was divided into two sections when Goldman Sachs took hold of 86 Broad Street in the 1980s. 💰

3 Penthouses, 1 Doctor, 1 Day 💪🏼 #fbf

____
Everything I know about selling, I learned from ‪99 John Street‬ – my first building.  I got the listing in 2009, about a year after I got into the business.  442 units, in the financial district.  The building was a conversion from office to rental to condo.  I took over from a previous sales team that was struggling through the recession.  I remember getting the listing by telling the developer I would tattoo the building’s address on my chest and sleep in the building so I’d never miss a showing (I didn’t get a tattoo but I ended up moving a block away so I’d never miss a showing). 😂
___
One day, a doctor walks in and says he wants to buy a bunch of units. We were in the middle of the subprime mortgage collapse, and everyone else who came into the sales office was very pessimistic.  This guy, on the other hand, was SO EXCITED to be there and buy as much as he could.  I sold him 3 Penthouse units that day. It was INSANE! It was my first taste of how crazy New York City real estate could be. 🤷🏽‍♂️
___
A guy could literally walk in off the street, smile, and buy three penthouses?!? That was 2009.  Fast forward 9 years, and we just put all 3 penthouses, now combined and made into 1 amazing home, on the market for sale for $6M. - @ryanserhant
