📓RUNNING JOURNAL... today I ran 6 miles on the treadmill while my husband worked out. Then he and I ran my last 4 miles outside to equal ten. I did 30 Burpee‘s as a warm-up and had a fast run. Afterwords I had a veggie plate at the farmers market to recover and a protein drink.

😂DID YOU SEE ME STAGGER W/EXHAUSTION❓...I’d just finished a bis/tris workout & 3mi run.  I could only do 15 of these!🤪 Now 50 more burpees to do at home to finish this weeks challenge quota!! AND yeah...my gym’s rope is falling apart, which added an extra level of fun. 😫

🧠My mind was my enemy. We fought and I finally won. 🏃‍♀️ RUNNING JOURNAL 📓 
I struggled getting started. I stretched. I made my running drinks. I checked my gear. I walked three “warm up” miles. I finally decided to do my shoulder work out. After that I did 50 Burpee‘s for my Burpee challenge. Then I was at a crossroads. I texted my husband and told him my mind was not in my training today. Should I go home or should I just run the 10 miles. He said...just run. I started and I didn’t stop for 10 miles. JUST DO IT. SHUT UP BRAIN 🧠

✅Bloody toe, didn’t know!!!😆 Ran most the time at a 10min/mi pace but finished w/a 6:35 sprint to the finish. Didn’t know I had a bloody toe that soaked my  new white shoe through till I was getting in the shower. No pain!🤷‍♀️

🍲GRITS & VEGGIE BOWL🍲
INGREDIENTS: grits, mushrooms 🍄 , avocado 🥑 , tomatoes 🍅 , scallions, spinach🍀, peppers 🌶 
Optional...scrambled egg🍳 ❤️😁I typically avoid corn products, such as grits, because corn tends to be inflammatory & is quite high in calories. But my kids have been begging for grits... and in the winter I like more hot and cooked foods. So for Sunday brunch, we had bowls of grits topped with chopped veggies. We have never tried this before but it was surprisingly delicious and went over very well! As a mom I am always trying to pack in the veggies!LOL
