You’re the honey to my cornbread. Or in this case, you’re the beef to my pie. 😆🌽🍞 #shepardspie 
Skillet cornbread shepard’s pie made this Monday full of computer work not too bad! Filled with lean beef, rainbow carrots, tomatoes, and onion to make my heart and soul happy. 😌🙏🏻🥧 #comfortfood 
Skillet Cornbread Shepard’s Pie:
* 1/2 box @kodiakcakes cornbread mix (plus proper ingredients to make cornbread on the side of the box)
* 16 oz. lean beef
* 3/4 cup diced red onion
* 3 large rainbow carrots, diced
* 2 tomatoes, diced
* 1 tablespoons @kodiakcakes buttermilk pancake mix
* 6 tablespoons low sodium beef broth
* 2 tablespoons almond milk

Directions:
* Preheat oven to 425°F.
* Cook lean beef on a skillet, seasoning with garlic powder, black pepper, and cumin.
* Once meat is almost cooked, add onion and carrots, and cook until carrots begin to soften.
* Add flour and stir. Then add beef broth, almond milk, and tomatoes. Let simmer for 5-10 minutes. Stirring often.
* Prepare cornbread as directed on side of box. (I subbed half the butter for unsweetened applesauce!)
* Once the beef mixture is done simmering, add to a sprayed cast iron skillet. Topping with prepared cornbread mixture.
* Cook for 30-35 minutes, or until cornbread is golden brown on top.
* Let cool for five minutes and dig in! 👩🏻‍🍳✨ #whatrobineatssavoryish

Baked Blueberry @farmerjohnla All-Natural Bacon Donuts, for those naturally lit brunch moments. 😱🥓🍩 #NaturallyLitFJ #sponsored

With the endorphins high from spin class this morning, my body needed an epic brunch. The combination of sweet from the blueberries and savory from @farmerjohnla’s all-natural bacon was just what my tastebuds were asking for. Plus these donuts only took 30 minutes from start to finish, how easy is that?! 😍🙏🏻🥓#farmerjohnla

Ingredients:
* 2 crispy pieces of @farmerjohnla’s all-natural bacon (chopped into bitesize pieces)
* 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
For the batter-
* 1 1/4 cup Kodiak Cakes buttermilk mix
* 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
* 1/2 mashed bananas
* 2 tablespoons vegan butter (melted)
* 1/4 cup @RippleFoods unsweetened (give or take depending on consistency)
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
Cream Cheese Glaze-
* 1/2 cup almond cream cheese
* 1/4 cup Ripple Foods unsweetened original
* 1 tablespoon @naturenates honey

Directions:
* Preheat oven to 350°F.
* Cook @farmerjohnla’s all-natural bacon until crispy.
* Combine batter ingredients in a medium size bowl. Be careful not to over mix!
* Once bacon is done cooking, pat dry with a paper towel, and chop into bitesize pieces.
* Slightly mix in blueberries and bacon bits into batter mixture. * Divide equally into a sprayed donut pan and bake for 20 minutes (or until golden brown on top).
* While donuts are baking prepare the cream cheese glaze. Combine glaze ingredients in a small bowl, adding more liquid if needed. Should be thick but spreadable.
* Once donuts are finished, cool for 15-20 minutes before adding glaze and toppings (the glaze will melt if the donuts are too hot). * Once cooled enough to eat, invite some pals over, and have a bacon party! 👩🏻‍🍳🍴💕🥓@thebaconparty #thebaconparty

I’m a huge fan of birthdays. Kickstarting my birthday week with these Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk cookies! The ingredient list includes three of my favorite foods: chunky peanut butter, banana, and dark chocolate. What more could you ask for in a cookie? 😌✨🎊 #dessertfirst

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies: (Makes 15 cookies)
* 1/4 cup vegan butter
* 1/4 cup mashed banana
* 1 tablespoon honey
* 1/4 cup chunky peanut butter
* 2 egg whites
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1/4 teaspoon salt
* 1 + 3/4 cup @kodiakcakes buttermilk mix
* 1/4 cup dark chocolate chunks
* Extra sea salt for topping

Directions:
* Preheat oven to 375°F. * In medium size bowl, mix butter, mashed banana, and chunky peanut butter together until fluffy. I used a hand mixer.
* Add in honey, vanilla extract, and egg and mix until smooth.
* In a separate bowl, combine Kodiak Cakes mix, baking soda, and sea salt. Add dry ingredients to wet and mix. * Using a tablespoon, scoop out dough and place on a sprayed baking sheet. Flatten slightly with a fork, then cross over for the fork lines. Top cookies evenly with dark chocolate chunks and extra sea salt.
* Bake for 8 minutes, or until tops are golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes and enjoy with your favorite glass of milk! Mine is @ripplefoods unsweetened vanilla of course. 😻🍪#cookies

White Bean Hummus:
* 1 can whites beans (rinsed)
* 2 tablespoons tahini
* 1 clove garlic
* 2 tablespoons lemon juice
* 1 tablespoon hemp hearts
* 1 teaspoon @yoursuperfoods Super Green powder

Directions:
* Place all ingredients in a food processor or high speed blender (we have a Ninja Blender). * Mix until completely combines. You will need to push the ingredients down using a runner spatula.
* When mixed, top with additional hemp hearts and use on everything! I made this chicken veggies humus wrap and it was to die for! 👩🏻‍🍳🥕🥒 #whatrobineatssavoryish

Alcohol and health. This duo I’m asked about often from clients. Wondering what the secret is to living a healthy lifestyle and enjoying a drink (of age of course!). The answer is balance! 💃🏻🙏🏻🍹 #balancedliving

Learning to balance my alcohol intake may be a different story than most. Instead of worrying about drinking too much, I decided to stay away from alcohol all together. I’ve been afraid that one sip would defeat the purpose of all the fitness goals I worked so hard to achieve. At 21 I was too afraid to enjoy even a sip of alcohol! Wouldn’t want to have too much fun... 🤦🏻‍♀️ It took a few years to realize that one drink would not set me back on anything I’ve done in the gym. Instead it was setting me back from having a good time with friends or Joel. Now when asked to grab a drink I’m not afraid to have a gin and soda (extra lime 💁🏻‍♀️) or a glass of white wine. Balance is key and I personally keep it to one drink. More than one and my face is usually like this. 🤪😅🎊 #whatrobineats

When fresh strawberry chia seed jam meets savory french toast. 🤤🍓🍞#frenchtoastfriday

I’ve yet to taste a strange but good combo I didn’t like. The flavors surprisingly worked so well together! Don’t knock it until you try it. 😉🙏🏻✨ #frenchtoast

Savory French Toast: (serves one)
* Two slices @canyonglutenfree 7-grain bread
* 1 egg white
* 2 tablespoons @ripplefoods unsweetened original
* Cinnamon
* 1 whole egg
* 2 tablespoons homemade strawberry chia seed jam
* 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Directions:
* Whisk egg white, Ripple, and cinnamon in a sallow dish. Dip bread pieces in the egg mixture and cook on a skillet until crispy.
* While the french toast is cooking, cook whole egg on a separate skillet until desired style. I like mine on the runny side!
* Once the french toast is finished, top with strawberry jam (recipe on my website www.whatrobineats.com), fried egg, and maple syrup. 👩🏻‍🍳💕#sweetandsavory

Last night I googled “best meatball sub in LA” because I had a craving, a BIG craving. 🤤🍞🍝 #meatballsub

As many incredible options as there are, I decided to save us money and make these subs myself! Lean turkey meatballs covered in marinara sauce and almond mozzarella cheese stuffed inside a toast sourdough baguette. I’m adding these to the “best meatball subs in LA” list. 👩🏻‍🍳📝 #ballinonabudget

Meatball subs: (Makes four subs)
* One sourdough baguette
* 1 pound 99% lean ground turkey
* 1/4 cup bread crumbs
* 1 teaspoon dry basil
* Black pepper to taste
* 3/4 cup almond mozzarella cheese shreds
* 1-2 cups arugula sprouts
* 1 cup no salt added marinara sauce

Directions: * In a medium size bowl, combine the turkey, bread crumbs, dry basil, and pepper until completely mixed.
* Using a tablespoon, make 20-23 turkey meatballs, and cook on a sprayed skillet.
* Once the meatballs are cooked, add 3/4 of the marinara sauce to the pan, and cook for another 3-5 minutes. Until the sauce is warm. Cut the baguette into four equal parts, slice in half, and toast in the oven or a toaster oven.
* Once the baguettes are half way toasted, carefully remove from toaster, fill with 3-4 meatballs, 2 tablespoons almond mozzarella cheese, and arugula. * Return to toaster and toast until cheese is melted.
* Once toasty, plate the subs, and cover with the remaining marinara sauce. 😍🍝🍞#sammiesmash
