Long post alert...but worth the read!
Lately, we've heard a lot of people come to us saying they've fallen off the wagon and are struggling to find the motivation to return to the gym. We know how hard it is to fit fitness back into an already full schedule. Work, kids, school, social events, and more! It's about finding balance, if you try to make too many changes at once, chances are it'll be hard to maintain the new routine. Here's a few helpful tips to ease your way back into a healthy lifestyle.
1. Keep your water close by! Outta sight, outta mind right? If you constantly have water nearby, you're much more likely to drink more throughout the day.
2. Swap out dark sodas for light sodas or other carbonated drinks (example: replace coke with sprite). 🥤 It's a small switch, but the less you drink it, the less you crave it. This is a good way to wean yourself off of soda slowly but surely.
3. Plan your workout (and write it down!) before you go to the gym. Keep that appointment with yourself, and know exactly what you're doing before you go in to avoid feeling unprepared and unmotivated.
4. SLEEP MORE! Put your phone down 30 minutes before going to sleep, and don't plan on looking at it until the next morning. Give your brain time to relax, think about your day, and the tasks you have to complete tomorrow. Get a solid night's rest, so you're ready to take on tomorrow!
