If you are in Germany right now, you’re off work for Easter Monday and you probably munched on your breakfast egg this late morning already I’m jealous! 🏻 In case you’re not that lucky, but would still like to know how to boil and serve (my favorite way!) a perfect German breakfast egg, follow the simple steps below:
1. Boil water.
2. Carefully insert eggs into boiling water using a large spoon and set timer for 6 minutes (that is if you’re using large, refrigerated eggs).
3. Drain and immediately run cold water over the eggs to end the cooking process.
4. Cut egg open with a knife and scoop out the egg white and yolk onto buttered German @thebreadvillage bread (my favorite is their pumpkin seed bread!).
5. Garnish with cut up cucumbers and/or tomato and whatever else your creative mind may come up with!
