The Push Press: An incredible exercise for developing shoulder strength and for building the whole shoulder region. Also an overhead press is an extremely functional exercise, as you are decelerating the bar down to your chest you are working the postural muscles in the upper back. 
My technique isn’t perfect here because it was my last set (excuses ha) but the idea is to bend your knees slightly... then extend your legs super fast and drive the bar overhead, I would recommend pushing your head through the bar in order to help support your back.

The sessions you don't want to do always turn out to be the best!Motivation to train today was just non existent! Myself and @diana_kelleher were not able so we did this horrible little session that we planned last week (a few of my clients have been sent this, so you feel my pain!!) even my forearms were sweating! Mum Update - 105kg Deadlift X 1 (X 3 sets) New 1RM PR!

I haven’t posted about mum’s attempts at this weight but I can assure you, there’s been quite a few over the past number of weeks.. but to no avail!
.
This week she absolutely killed it! She didn’t quite get the timing right on her first attempt but we knew what needed to be amended and made the necessary tweaks!
.
This was the first time hitting 105kg.. and she went on to complete another 2 singles! The clips are all 3 successful lifts!

This week has been this first week of 2018 where I have seen massive progression, be it in my physique or my lifts. 
My strength is increasing my body fat is slowly but surely decreasing and my confidence is on the way back up ⬆️💯 it’s starting to feel so good to feel like myself again 🙌🏽💗 as you can imagine 3months off training has not been easy! It’s been a mental battle more than anything, I’m taking it day by day... baby steps. I can’t thank my crew enough for being so supportive you all know who you are. Shout out to my girl @eatingmyselfhealthy_ for pushing me through my sessions daily, being my personal photographer & for helping me to believe in myself again. 
As always I have none other than @bsnaustralia to fuel each & every session helping me to get back to my best.

220kg Back Squat - Slow Motion
.
I try to remain as critical when judging my own movements as I am when coaching a client.. and filming each set from warm up to top set/s allows me to tweak any issues that may hamper my performance as the load increases!
.
There’s nowhere to hide when shooting in slow motion so I couldn’t be happier with how my final set from today’s Back Squat session looked in review!

8 months post surgery today -at the moment my rehab is really focusing on change of direction and agility drills. Can’t wait to work on the new training programme over the next 3 weeks. My technique isn’t great at the moment, and my confidence is at an all time low when attempting any of these drills. So it will be interesting to see how the next few weeks go. New programme consists of 3 days per week- 1 hr session - 9 different running drills focusing on changing direction and explosive stopping and starting dominantly on the operated leg. After the first session my leg pulled up fine I just need to work on getting my confidence back. It can be so frustrating and uncomfortable thinking of how to do something and having to break it down step by step which use to come so naturally and was so effortless before this injury 😭😭 @jessicalea17
