7月減廢挑戰 Day 18
#plasticfreejuly day 18
I have to make it clear first I usually use a menstrual cup for my period. So I got very little knowledge about reusable pads. And my family especially my granny hates it when I talk about reusable pads because they think the pads take a lot of water to wash.
So a couple of months ago, I was using my menstrual cup. But I wasn’t gentle enough. So I think I scratched myself. And because it was such a sensitive area, it hurts a lot. And I can’t use my cup until it’s recovered down there.
My idea was to use the disposable pads I still stock up at home until I recover. Coz the reusable pads cost some money and it’d be a huge waste if I buy them and use it for one cycle or two. But the thing is, the wound is still there and hasn’t healed up completely... so today, I went to get my very first reusable pad.
And then I went to the gym as usual. Yes, the gym, where I ran on a treadmill like crazy, row on the water rower until my thighs couldn’t move, and did a whole bunch of sit ups and all that.
To my surprise, the pad stayed there. It was like stuck on my underwear. No leaks. Very breathable coz it’s not plastic. Just perfect!
