Day 07 means patience. Today I woke up with a lot of water weight. So much I can’t even take my wedding ring off. I’m up a couple of pounds but I know fluctuating is a part of keto. I traveled out-of-state for work. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I don’t dread my workouts.

I’m not disgusted by the slow movement down on the scale.

I don’t avoid social events bc I don’t want to be tempted by food or drink.

I’m enjoying my life.

And I still hit my weight-loss and physiques milestones (with more on the horizon).

I’ve made eating healthy and exercising a way of life. I’m not counting down the days until the “diet” is over and I can stuff my face. I’m living and loving life and I’m not holding myself prisoner to some stupid diet or obsession to look a certain way.

It is so liberating!!

Here are progress pics from the the first 6 months of my transformation journey (Dec. 2008- June 2009) and updated pics from May. I lost roughly 69 lbs from the first pic to the day 180 and currently weigh 157 lbs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I lost around 100 lbs during my first year. Then I started working on building muscle and shaping my body. I wanted to share these pics so you can see where I was when I started vs where I am today. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My transformation did NOT happen quickly, but I’m so grateful that I decided I was worth the effort. I’ve been a work in progress since Dec. 2008 and will continue to be for the rest of my life.

Here are progress pics from the the first 6 months of my transformation journey (Dec. 2008- June 2009) and updated pics from May. I lost roughly 69 lbs from the first pic to the day 180 and currently weigh 157 lbs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I lost around 100 lbs during my first year. Then I started working on building muscle and shaping my body. I wanted to share these pics so you can see where I was when I started vs where I am today. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My transformation did NOT happen quickly, but I’m so grateful that I decided I was worth the effort. It is day 6 of intermittent fasting and I am letting go of stress! I have spent my whole summer dealing with some personal things that I was helping my wife with and for my sanity and for the progression of my life and my goals I am letting go and I am instead further embracing this fitness journey. My three alarms are set for Monday and I am finally adding the last piece to my weight loss puzzle, CrossFit. I will try to continue posting over the weekend as my first week of fasting is coming to an end! Anyone else fasting out there?

#flashbackfriday to the last time I challenged myself and my body. These were my progress pictures from @bodybuildingcom's 250k Transformation Challenge earlier this year. The first pic was on January 3rd and the last picture was April 6th. ▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️▫️
This was the hardest thing I'd ever done in my life. I was determined to give this thing my all and I was determined to win! In the end, I didn't win any cash or prizes for my transformation but I won something even better. I won a new me. I won a new perspective and a respect for nutrition and exercise. I'm happy, healthy, and I'm still going. I learned healthy habits that have carried over since the challenge and I live my life differently thanks to this experience. 🏋️‍♂️🏃‍♂️😁

I was weary starting a new challenge after going through that much work but then again, challenges help me and put me in my element. I like having a date to shoot for my peak physique. Happy #flexfriday lol although I'm not really flexing. But that's all right; I think it still looks good considering how it used to look. I like my body in certain angles. The loose skin is not as apparent, especially in this photo. It messes with my head sometimes because when I take a glimpse in the mirror, I think I'm still the same 308lb girl and that all my progress was just an illusion. That legit freaks me out. 
But okay, enough IG for now. It's my last #legday for the week! And my last day at the gym until Monday. Happy Friday all!

📈 Пробую свой максимум на отжиманиях, результатом чуть не доволен 🙁 так как буквально в конце июня я отжался максимум 47 раз 😧, для создания некого стресса мышцам решил добавить к своему весу рюкзак 🎒 с тремя блинами по 2,5 кг. в итоге +7,5 кг. к своему весу, выполнил на 2️⃣0️⃣ повторений, будет интересно 🤔пересматривать свои видео через несколько лет.

Yesterday my energy was through the roof and I woke up a pound lighter! Hahahaha! So, I am officially starting my countdown to my Camp Rhino tattoo. When I hit 100lbs down, I am getting a Camp Rhino tattoo. I tried different diets and Keto is king for me (FOR ME!). Intermittent fasting is great and now that my doctor called me yesterday and said my CPK went from 5,000 plus to 577, I can train again. It’s still high and they want me to see a specialist but it’s way better than I was. #onwardsandupwards #rhinotough @camprhinonorthwest

After a long month of travel, eating like shit, trying to get back on my routine, drinking alcohol more than I wanted, fluctuating meal plan, killer workouts, missing workouts. Plenty of excuses to quit and not see these results. But no!! I’m down BF% and up muscle mass. That’s the goal. Tomorrow I’m back on the program and adding more carbs to my meals. #keepgrinding

Wedding season is upon us! It’s been three months since I finished the 250k challenge and I think I FINALLY sorted myself out. I certainly ate a few cakes, drank some vodkas, and relaxed this summer. But, the time is now to get serious about the shred. I decided that dieting like a psycho for twelve weeks really isn’t for me. But neither is being overweight. So I’m going to do it all again for four weeks, and see how my body reacts. I killed the 250k challenge, but I deeply struggled with the post competition blues. I was so fixated on ‘winning’ (a superficial focus) that I let my spirituality go to shit (which is the actual cause behind my years of sustained weight loss). So, this time, in addition to training and nutrition, and a festive sticker chart, I’m going to journal ten gratitudes a day, and read my ever growing stack of affirmation cards in the mirror (naked) daily. But, the time is now to get serious about the shred. I decided that dieting like a psycho for twelve weeks really isn’t for me. But neither is being overweight. So I’m going to do it all again for four weeks, and see how my body reacts. I killed the 250k challenge, but I deeply struggled with the post competition blues. I was so fixated on ‘winning’ (a superficial focus) that I let my spirituality go to shit (which is the actual cause behind my years of sustained weight loss). So, this time, in addition to training and nutrition, and a festive sticker chart, I’m going to journal ten gratitudes a day, and read my ever growing stack of affirmation cards in the mirror (naked) daily. Day 4 started a bit rough as I could not sleep last night. I do not believe it had anything to do with the fasting and everything to do with some personal things I’m dealing with and trying to support my wife through. I am 4 ounces down since yesterday and I may be going through a plateau on keto or what someone believes is a healing phase in keto where my body is shrinking fat cells and those cells are being replaced with water. If this is the case, I should see a whoosh take place sometime in near future in which my body will release the water. My energy is still up after I got moving this morning which is a plus. #onwardsandupwards
