That time we went to #Nepal .
We crossed the border at 6 in the evening, the chaotic UP evening without a plan in our heads, we didn't know where we wanna go. We changed our currency at the border and went on to check if we can afford to go to #Pokhra . It was 10 hour journey and the bus fair was relatively low, so we hopped on and reached pokhra at 3:40 in the morning, where we had the expensive, foul tasting omelette and paratha. Even though the food is expensive there, we got a great deal on the hotel room, that had wifi. So tired we were that we slept with our shoes on. Next morning, i went to the balcony, and saw the #Fishtail peak of the #Annapurna range. It is only about 6 hundred meter shorter than the Everest, and that was the only gigantic peak that managed to sit upon the clouds and wave at us. We ate a quick breakfast and started the walk, without a map. We walked for about an hour into a mountain when Chris and his partner joined us, they were afraid to walk alone because some boys from Bihar kept roaming around them and there was too much hooliganism. We all didn't know where the path led but we kept walking because it was beautiful. After 3 hours of walking we luckily reached the world peace pagoda, where Chris and Franny bid farewell. The we ate fruits and drank a lot of water on the edge of the mountain from where we could see the stretch of #Phewa lake. Then we walked 3 more hours to see the Cave and Devi's fall. Those places were commercialised, so they were not that fun but they were beautiful. Then we ate some more at an Indian dhaba. The woman who owned it was beautiful, both in and out. She is from Shimla, India, but she's stuck there because her family betrayed her and now she has to protect her ancestral property by staying there. Her son plays guitar and is going to be in a band soon. He sang us some Nepali songs and we stayed there for a while even though the last bus to Lumbini was about to leave. Then after we left there, we walked another hour to catch the bus. The bus was hour hotel room for that night. We had to sleep in the bus so that we can roam around in Lumbini next day.
We walked for 8 hours and spent only 2000 rs in Pokhra. - 3 hours ago
