Last nights incredibly messy dinner as I was in such a rush to eat it - had walked 3 miles then done an intensive body conditioning class so I was huuuungryyy .

🌿Lime and coriander infused rice🌿 mixed stir fried veggies involving pak Choi and baby sweet corns and other left over bits 🌾 seasoned with Chinese 5 spice, soy sauce, fish sauce.& sesame oil 🌻

✅11 months of being sick 😷 I remember traveling with bryan, going to friends and families houses not eating and terrible. I just wanted to lay on the couch with my Diet Coke and chips till I would start to feel a little better. 😑 I hid my sickness from most people with a smile because I wanted to still enjoy my time and be with people! But I was NOT feeling well. 
2 weeks into Plexus and it all began to change! 🙌🏼 My symptoms started going away, I started to feel hungry and didn't have any aches in my stomach, and had less nausea! 
2 months in and I feel AMAZING! I remember being at the airport in this picture for weekend trip to CA with Bryan and feeling SOOO relieved  and JOYFUL knowing that this time I wouldn't feel sick all weekend with my amazing products with me! ❤

Stuck at home with my youngest who has chicken pox (bye bye last two kid free days, hello extended summer holiday!). Anyway bless him he's been pretty chilled, soaking in an oat bath right now listening to chill FM!

Shortcuts to a quick lunch, shop bought frittata and falafel with a big salad, avocado, beets and a large serving of my homemade kimchi. It gets better each day it's left to ferment. Yum.

I am so excited to say that the pain has gone away from my knees!! Eating whole foods really does work miracles. It's all about the quality of your food, not about the macros. Don't get me wrong, you should still eat certain whole foods in moderation (nothing good will happen if you just eat fruit and dates all the time), but sometimes we get so caught up in macros and carb counts that we forget to focus on what's healthy.

I am so excited to say that the pain has gone away from my knees!! Eating whole foods really does work miracles. It's all about the quality of your food, not about the macros. When do you feel hungry after breakfast?? 1,2,3 hours? 🤔

Consuming foods that sit in your stomach for a little bit longer and take longer to be broken down will help keep you feeling full for longer after breakfast. And this can help you resist any non-hungry snacking. 😏

Try including a combination of foods at breakfast that include slow release carbohydrates, protein, fibre and good fats.  Some mornings i opt for @freedomfoodsus Barley Plus Oats as it has 3 different types of fibre -soluble, insoluble and resistant starch all of which are beneficial for a thriving gut! How to: 
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup coconut yogurt
3 ripe peaches, cut up
1 cup Wild Moon Organic Chicken Broth
Blend until smooth, pour into molds, and freeze four hours.
Then eat them all to get your cool on and give yourself some gut love!

I call this Panna Cotta Inception. Pink Panna Cotta layered with Matcha & Coconut Panna Cotta with Chocolate coated Cinnamon, Nut Butter Panna Cotta Balls. So much Panna Cotta 😝 (rough recipe below); The green layer recipe is linked in my insta bio;
INGREDIENTS
1 cup thick coconut cream
1- 1 1/4 tsp @changinghabits_hq gelatin
2 Tbsp water
Stevia or your preferred sweetener to taste
1- 1 1/2 tsp matcha powder
1/2 -1 tsp vanilla
1/2- 1 tsp spirulina powder 
The pink layer is the same, just omit the matcha and spirulina powders for 1/4-1/2 tsp of @zandiorganics beetroot & berry powder.
METHOD

Add the pink layer to a glass jar and set it in the fridge. 
Add the green layer on top and set it in the fridge. The balls are cinnamon nut butter panna cotta balls coated in chocolate (sorry no recipe for them, just made em up). So just top with whatever you like and enjoy 🤗

Day 1/3 shifts at work after 5 glorious days off...
I’m keeping it together, promise 🤞🏼

While I may not be at home, I brought some of my most favorite meals to eat, which helps.
I love myself through nutrition (and taking the breaks necessary throughout my work day to eat all the snacks 👌🏼) so having these tasty meals keeps my spirits up and blood sugar levels nice and balanced ⚖️
Eating small, plant-based meals frequently (every 1.5-3 hours) is what I’ve found works best for my body and energy levels, and it’s so cool that it was confirmed through learning about my human design! (Such a projector 💁🏻‍♀️)

- breakfast: smoothie (on the run, I might’ve been a little late 🤦🏻‍♀️)

- dinner: sautéed zucchini + bell pepper + tomatoes + rice + black beans + avo in @primalpalate taco seasoning 💃🏻

Fruit is a nice snack that has prebiotics in it... basically fertilizer for the garden that is your gut. It's good for you but too much is not ideal. Fruit contains fructose (the natural sugar in fruit and vegetables) and too much sugar wherever it comes from isn’t necessarily a good thing. According to @jeannettehydenutrition (author of the Gut Makeover), you should limit yourself to 2 servings a day. It's also suggested that you only drink 150 ml fruit juice, vegetable juice, or smoothie (smoothies are of course ideal since they contain the fibre from fruit while juice doesn't). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

So this was the result of my first wild ferment, Pineapple Tepache 🍍 after about 3 days of its second ferment 💛
It’s naturally carbonated, so lovely and fruity and refreshing!! My first batch was about 4 litres so once they reached my desired level of fizz, I chilled them in the fridge to slow down further fermentation!

As I explained in my previous post, this homemade probiotic drink is made with filtered water, raw sugar and pineapple skins. But don’t be worried about the sugar content! What you’re actually left with after the two stages of fermentation, is actually a very low sugar, gut friendly home brew 🧡

About a month ago, I started my journey into home brew fermenting....whoop whoop!!

This was my first attempt at what they call a wild ferment!! 🍍

It’s really simple, very quick and absolutely god damn delicious, like I’m seriously OBSESSED with it now!!!

* it’s really good for your gut health, and thus YOU!!
* it’s super cheap - especially if you use filtered water - which I did 👍🏼
* AND it promotes making use of EVERYTHING!! I juiced the pineapple in a green juice, then used the skins to make this absolutely delightful beverage which I will continue to brew and enjoy forever now!!! Talk about squeezing everything you can out of your produce ❤️
Just as an FYI, I obviously composting the skins once I was done, no need to go to a landfill AND it will help your compost along its merry way 🙌 talk about WIN WIN WIN WIN WIN.......WIN!! 🤣
