Batch testing of popular almond milks, various breads including organic, gluten free, white, & whole wheat breads & vegetarian burgers all had disturbing levels of glyphosate herbicide. Individual brand tests of Skippy’s ‘100% Natural’ peanut butter and Lipton’s ‘100% Natural’ Green tea were also high in glyphosate herbicides & its breakdown AMPA.
Levels of glyphosate found in batch testing were from 0.87 ppb of glyphosate and AMPA (effective glyphosate) in conventional almond milks, up to 140.98 ppb in conventional whole wheat breads, 52.20 pb in conventional veggie burgers. Low levels were also found in gluten free & organic samples. Individual testing revealed 11.71 ppb in “100% Skippy’s Natural Peanut Butter”, and 208.29 ppb in “100% Natural” Lipton Green Tea.
Between .1 parts per billion & 1 parts per trillion have been shown to cause neurotoxicity, liver disease & endocrine disruption harm, which could lead to miscarriage, birth defects, infertility, sterility & increase Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma cancer rates by 50%. 100 parts per billion (0.1 ppm) has shown to destroy gut bacteria, which is the stronghold of our immune system, & promote pathogenic gut bacteria, which can lead to inflammation, behavioural & learning disorders. Glyphosate can bioaccumulate, so any amount consumed is harmful.
These findings in “100% Natural” foods widely considered healthy are particularly disturbing because health conscious people are spending far more money to be “healthy” are yet eating proven harmful herbicides.
Any amount of glyphosate does not wash, dry, or cook off, instead it absorbs into the crop. Since glyphosate is being found to be present in natural tea and these other foods, it is likely that other toxins, such as arsenic and heavy metals, are also present, as a recent study by Seralini and team showed these known poisons to be found in all of the glyphosate herbicides tested. - 11 hours ago
