Eagles position overview: linebacker
There's some big question marks here in my opinion. Jordan Hicks is undoubtedly the best LB on the team, but he can't stay healthy. This is his contract year, I hope he gets resigned, even if he does get injured. Nigel Bradham has been the only certainty at the position. The 3rd spot isn't really a starter. Eagles have an extra corner instead of linebacker out on the field 70-75% of the time. But the 3rd spot is a competition for all remaining LBs on the roster. Kamu Grugier-Hill has been a constant in special teams but maybe he'll get an opportunity to play defense finally. Corey Nelson is my favorite to win the 3rd spot. He hasn't played much outside of special teams, but in 2016 PFF had him as the second best coverage LB behind Jordan Hicks. Joe Walker has also gotten some time playing due to injuries. He's a bubble player that they'll keep close and bring in if theres injury like Najee Goode in the past. Nathan Gerry, Asantay Brown and Kyle Wilson are other names for depth and practice squad purposes. In my opinion, this position could use a veteran signing now that Paul Worrilow got injured.
