So usually when I’ve been drinking the night before, I will resort to a takeaway for dinner. But I was very proud of myself last night, saving money and making a (slightly) healthier choice by picking up a pizza from the supermarket instead. Per l'estetica, prima dell'allenamento, ci sono 2 cose da considerare A. la percentuale di massa grassa B. la genetica. 🐢 Puoi avere anche una megatartaruga, ma se hai del grasso che la ricopre non si vedrà mai. Questo spiega perché atleti come lanciatori del peso, powerlifter, giocatori di linea di football americano, nonostante siano molto forti e allenati, non abbiano neanche un'ombra di addome in vista. 🐢 La genetica fa la sua parte sia relativamente alla forma dell'addome, sia relativamente alla distribuzione di grasso corporeo. 🐢 2. Tutti i muscoli dell'addome, se ti alleni con i pesi, vengono allenati indirettamente come stabilizzatori. Pensi che chi fa Crossfit si ammazzi di crunch? No, ma solleva, sposta, salta, scatta e il core viene continuamente coinvolto. Quindi, teoricamente, se sei una persona allenata, raggiunta una certa percentuale di BF l'addome comunque si vedrà🐢 Ci sono persone che fanno sala pesi e non allenano MAI l'addome, che diventa più o meno visibile secondo il periodo dell'anno (e la percentuale di grasso). 🐢 Quindi devi allenare l'addome oppure no?🔹 SI MA per renderlo visibile devi avere una BF bassa. 🔹SI MA deve essere stimolato in modo adeguato, non con qualche crunch buttato lì 🔹SI perché è importante per la postura, per la stabilizzazione e per rendere le forme più armoniose 🔹SI e, come tutti gli altri muscoli 🚫No se pensi che serva a bruciare il grasso localizzato. REALITY..

I sat and tried to make this all bloggery (not technically a word but you know) but it's not (soz in advance for the 5 mins of your life you won't get back after reading this)..

But the truth is the balance is hard to find, it's bloody hard in fact. Now more than ever I'm struggling. Not something people admit often (not in this sassy Instagram world we live in anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️). .
The fact is, we all wanna live our best lives, but sometimes we pay the price for that right? I know I've gained this week (AGAIN!) but I've had the best time, does that mean it's fine? Does that mean that I've failed? Are memories more important than the guilt you get after a weekend off plan? Should I even be posting this because really it's not motivating?

Once again I'm sitting on a Monday morning willing myself for another day/week on plan when I know full well I have plans every weekend until October.. but what am I gunna do? Make each meal as good as it can be, try my best where I can & when I'm not enjoy it.. is that balance or a cop out? I don't know.. As long as you try your best that's all you can ask for right?

NACHTRAG zur #hsd - Zwei Wochen danach ⁉️

Liebe Leute, heute möchte ich euch noch einen kleinen Nachtrag zum HSD-Selbstversuch geben und der lautet: Lasst es !! ☝🏼 das ist MEINE Meinung. 
Mein Körper war nach der HSD sooo ausgehungert, dass ich die letzten zwei Wochen extremes Verlangen nach Essen hatte. Übermäßiges Verlangen, Hunger, Cravings, etc. !
Zuerst zwei Wochen lang fast nichts zu essen bekommen, um dann zwei Wochen lang extrem kompensieren zu müssen macht fast keinen Sinn. Klar, das Gewicht ist jetzt nicht mega in die Höhe gegangen, da ich mich gut kontrollieren kann, aber dennoch war das Verlangen da! Kurzum meine Empfehlung, macht eine Diät mit einem moderaten Defizit, gönnt euch hin und wieder etwas wenn es in die Kalorien passt und seid so erfolgreich! So funktioniert es besser und ihr tut eurem Körper längerfristig was Gutes ! ☺️🙏🏻

One of the secrets to stay with energy: all year long: Have your lemon drink in the morning right after getting up. 
How to do: super easy. 
Heaten up a glas of water (neither hot - neither cold = inbetween). One fresh lemon: squize the juice of one lemon in. Get a bit of honey (1 teespoon). Mix it & drink it. LET'S GO.

FRESH, COLD, SNACKS ➡️ at the weekend it was scorching in London! My flat was overheating and I truly couldn’t escape 😂 however, it was heaven and the summer in London has been beautiful so far. When it’s hot outside, I rarely have an appetite and I also crave sweet and cold foods. Fruits, yoghurts, smoothies, juices; you name it, if it’s cold and sweet... I want it! FRESH, COLD, SNACKS ️ at the weekend it was scorching in London! My flat was overheating and I truly couldn’t escape however, it was heaven and the summer in London has been beautiful so far. When it’s hot outside, I rarely have an appetite and I also crave sweet and cold foods. Fruits, yoghurts, smoothies, juices; you name it, if it’s cold and sweet... I want it! My all time fave snack is frozen fruits, @alpro coconut yoghurt, a sprinkle of dried fruits and my favourite chocolate = @supertreats_uk ️💭️ I’m a chocolate addict so @supertreats_uk keep me sane with their delicious healthy alternative! Sure.....they won’t taste like your ‘go to treat’ you love but creating delicious balanced meal options can be exciting and satisfying. Creativity is key along with real knowledge to make better choices.....happily, not begrudgingly!

A little repost to tell you all 2000 people that follow me to go check my my amazing beautiful wife and see how her yoga journey is unfolding. She is taking the first steps post ttc to explore different ways in which breath and movement can help different people. This week @spirit_wren has headed down to the south coast to do her pregnancy yoga teacher training with @sallyparkespregnancyyoga which will help us bring our practice to so many more people (yes, if you are pregnant and wanna come on a retreat or workshop it now makes it that much easier for you.) Soooo I wanted to post more pictures of our beach day but I also didn’t want this one to be first. Today was a day where I felt super self conscious about the changes to my body and nit picky about everything. Nothing that I wanted to wear fit the way I wanted and I felt extra icky and tired from a week of terribly baby sleeps. Every fun summer tank has a stretched out neckline from nursing and none of my bikini tops from last year fit... I have a double chin here because I’m following the physios orders. And for all of those reasons I didn’t want to post this first. BUT this is a place for me to keep track of my family memories. Pictures of our life together and the adventures we go on together. If it’s only Elenor and Ben and I keep myself to the shadows or only post pictures that I think I look amazing in then how is this an accurate reflection of our family adventures? It’s not. So. This one is first. It’s titled, family day at the beach, all of us, just as we are. 
But also, the double chin is actually a really good thing. I’m trying to reverse my “forward head posture” (? I think that’s what the chiro called it) which causes super bad pain in the base of my neck and is aggrivatwd constantly by poor nursing posture. The little double chin is evidence that I’m doing the hard work even in the little moments. Chin in, back of the head up, constantly trying to keep the head from tilting forward. serious neck and shoulder pain are slightly less serious thanks to the double chin.

Ever since I became a mother I have been producing work within my home, with few sporadic incursions outside while my son was in nursery but always running, always too busy to let creativity flow as it should. Always looking at the clock or saying "don't touch that", giving up shoots uncountable times. Sometimes this makes me sad and sometimes this makes me proud. Sometimes it makes me think is him who does the work, not me.

Pick something you want to do really well at.

Now go look at others who done exactly that and their habits that got them there.

With seeing many successful transformations there is a trend from pretty much all of them across the board.

They weren't lucky, they were consistent.....in everything.

I'll know pretty much to the hour when each of them were going to check in, each responce mail will have the same pattern, pictures in the same lighting same place. The same amount of detail in the questions asked , and the same level of execution.

Their consistency with schedule , with meals with training , Same sleep times same wake times. But should a curve ball arrive, they just dust off and pick straight back up into the daily habit again.

Having this routine is key to a successful transformation. Trying to beat the system may work for a small handful but those who have a consistent routine in place will always have the edge.

I try not to quantify running or fitness by things like this, but I figure if I run about half as frequently with more emphasis on longer and more epic runs, 
while averaging longer rides and balancing running time with a significant amount of #strengthandconditioning 
well.. I should get really strong and develop some serious endurance:
mentally and physically. 
that’s the goal: fullest potential with all the details. there’s no way around volume, repetition and the quality of everything

An Aussie classic- Homemade chicken sausage rolls 🤪

Beobachte am heutigen Tag:
➡ob du beim Einkaufen mehr in den Wagen legst als nötig;
➡wie viele deiner Kleider du schon seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr getragen hast; ➡wie oft deine Konzentration durch Werbung abgelenkt wird
➡wie viel Kram sich in deinem Kofferraum (Handtasche, Nachtschrank …) angesammelt hat; ➡ welche Abos du laufen hast, die du nicht nutzt
Minimalismus beginnt im Kleinen.

Immer wieder erlebe ich, dass die Leute der Meinung sind viel hilft viel. Sie zerstören sich tagtäglich mit intensiven Trainingseinheiten und vergessen dabei ordentlich zu regenerieren. Sport ist jedoch in erster Linie ein mega Stressor für den Körper. Der sog. Eustress ist zwar auch gut und wichtig für uns, denn nur so geschehen Anpassungen. Das heisst nur durch gewisse neue Reize (Stress) können wir besser werden und Veränderung herbeiführen. Übertreiben wir es aber und geben wir uns nicht genug Zeit für die Erholung, führen uns zusätzlich noch zu wenig Nährstoffe zu geht es irgendwann steil bergab und aus positivem Stress wird chronischer Stress. Die Auswirkungen sind vielfältig. Mangelnder Fettabbau und Erschöpfung sind das geringste Übel. Bei mir blieb beispielsweise meine Periode jahrelang aus und es kam des Öfteren zu plötzlichen Synkopen. Es dauerte 10 Jahre bis alles wieder im Gleichgewicht war. Deswegen denkt daran, Sport und Bewegung sind gut und wichtig aber die Balance ist am Ende, dass was uns gesund, schön und glücklich hält. Happy Monday!
