325 items (91 dolls and 234 bears) and 100 cars were recently sent to @nudaysyria. @nudaysyria works tirelessly supporting those inside Syria who have fled their homes in an effort to find safety and security for their families. NuDay Syria assists individuals and families by providing medical care, educational opportunities, basic needs such as food and clothing and yes even toys. As the founder of NuDay Syria often mentions “she believes in the power of a teddy” so it is our honor to be able to send teddies and dolls to so many children who have been through so much.
I will note that this picture shows just 1/3 of the items I sent as I kept adding to the shipment to send as many dolls and bears as possible to children inside Syria who had been fleeing recent atrocities in Eastern Ghouta.
The 325 dolls and bears included in this shipment were made by
@ginaharris83 , Sandra Jones, @helen.gurr , Caitlin Tweedy and the Union Park 6th Ward Young Women, JaAnna Nelson, Samantha Blakesly and Canyon Rim 2nd Ward, BYU @yserverefugee club, Shannon @heartfelt_quilts , @knatd , Corbin Jensen and friends, Park City High School students (Chris Wood), Marvis Firmage and friends, Brenda Lee, @cacharvie and the Morgan 12th Ward, Lanae and the Young at Heart Sisters, Susan, Elizabeth DeGraw and the Decker and DeGraw extended families, Kennewick East Stake Relief Society (Ashley Stratton), Elena De Ferrari and Giselle Tallman (Christine De Ferrari), and @kimponchy and children. The Matchbox cars were donated by the Sharon Park Stake Relief Society.
So incredibly grateful for all those who made these 325 dolls and bears and all those who donated the 100 cars.
Together we are bringing hope and comfort and joy to children inside Syria and around the world. Together we are brightening the world for the children we serve. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me in this tremendous effort ️️ - 2 hours ago
