Looking for some summer salad inspiration to bring to your next outdoor party?

One of the challenges is to find a salad that can withstand the heat and not wilt if you make it in advance.

I have a mayo-free sweet potato salad. It ups the ante of boring white potato salad while also removing the gloppy mayo that withers in the heat (and doesn't taste that good anyway). My paleo sweet potato salad has some meaty flavor from crisp bacon (sugar and nitrate free of course!). Celery gives a nice crunch and a zesty vinaigrette brings all of the flavors together. 
Best of all, make it in advance and it'll be ready for party time! #summersalad .

El calor ameritaba un postre helado ❄️ y creo que no conocia a alguien que no amara el Carlota de Limón hasta que dos personas votaron que no en stories 😂 pero para el 98% 🙌🏻 les dejo esta versión Fit que está no bueno increíble, llevar una vida saludable no significa que no puedes comer lo que más te gusta, siempre puedes crear esa receta con ingredientes de mayor calidad, apapachándote. 💖

. 📝 • 1 paquete de galletas @gullongalletas (las puedes encontrar en Walmart y Ley) • 1 bote de 110 g de queso cottage @lyncottoficial • jugo de 6 limones 🍋 • stevia de @hechoparalavida (ahí lo vas probando hasta que te guste pero no te emociones  taaaanto eh jaja) • 500 g de yogurt griego que está vez use el @fage • Rayadura de un Limón 🍋 . - Llevas todo lo húmedo a la licuadora y listo 🙌🏻 en un molde o refractario vas acomodando por capas primero una capa de galletas y después de la mezcla que hiciste después otra de galletas y otra de mezcla y así vas formando tu Carlota 🍋, yo congelé por 2 horas y después lo baje al refrigerador maximo en 6 horas estuvo listo para degustar y del sabor no puedo explicarte porque no me vas a entender. 💖🤤🙌🏻

When I started my journey to health almost 5 years ago, I had a toddler, a 3 month old, and was getting ready to go back to work as a full time night nurse

Cashew Chicken Bake with Zoodles 
Ingredients
FOR THE SAUCE:
6 tablespoons braggs liquid aminos or coconut aminos 
¾ tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons honey 
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
2 cloves garlic minced
2 tablespoons cornstarch
½ cup water plus more as needed to thin out sauce
For the chicken and vegetables
2 medium skinless boneless chicken thighs or breasts cut into 1" inch cubes
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 ½ cups broccoli florets about 1 head
1 red bell pepper
½ green bell pepper optional
2/3 cup roasted unsalted cashews

4 medium Zucchini made into Zoodles. 
Instructions: 
1. For the sauce:
2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk together soy sauce, vinegar, honey, sesame oil, garlic, cornstarch and water until combined. Bring to a simmer, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens and bubbles. Remove from heat and set aside.
3. For the chicken and vegetables
4. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper or foil coated with cooking spray and set aside.
5. Season chicken with salt and black pepper then drizzle spoonfuls of sauce over the chicken coating well on both sides. Reserve at least half of the sauce for later.
6. Cook in preheated oven for 8 minutes then remove the pan.
7. Arrange the broccoli florets, bell peppers and cashews in a single layer around the chicken. Season the vegetables with salt and pepper and drizzle spoonfuls of the sauce and toss everything to coat. Return to the oven and cook for another 8-12 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.**
8. Remove pan from oven and drizzle with remaining sauce. Serve with Zoodles.

Decided to channel in my Malaysian side last night and made these South East Asian crispy chicken wings for last nights dinner! These were sweet but also still had a kick. We served these with sautéed bok choy and mushrooms.
•
- 1lb chicken wings
- 1/4 cup sambal (chili paste)
- 1/8 cup honey
- 1tbs minced garlic
- 1tbs ginger
- 1/8 cup sesame oil
- 1 lime juiced
- 1 tsp salt
•
Preheat oven to 450F. Boil a pot of salted water. Whisk all ingredients together then separate into two bowls. One water starts boiling, put chicken wings in for 5 mins. Prepare an oven pan with foil and oil on it. Drain chicken wings at 5 mins and marinade using one of the bowls, set aside the other bowl for later. Throw into oven for 12 mins. Rotate and remarinate the other side. In for another 12 mins, then 1 minute on the top rack to broil. Take it out once ready and toss in the other bowl of marinade and SERVE! You’ll have some crispy chicken wings!

* Culinary grade (top): meant for baking or smoothies, which will mask any bitter or astringent subtleties.⠀⠀
* Latte grade (middle): Like ceremonial, it’s made from the first harvest high-quality leaves - It’s a quality premium matcha that is more affordable for everyday drinkers. It’s best balanced with milk in a latte. This is what I use most often - for my daily lattes and to get the vibrant green color in recipes.⠀⠀
* Ceremonial grade (bottom): the highest quality, traditionally meant to be served whisked with just hot water, and reserved for special occasions.

Who else is thankful for @sweetgreen 🙋🏼‍♀️ Sometimes you’re just in a pinch, on the go, or just LAZY. The only thing that can make those situations worse is getting HANGRY or filling up on SH!T. Healthy Mini Basil Turkey Burgers, on a rice cake 😯, yes it’s a thing 😍😆🍴!

**** Ground turkey, one small egg, one thinly chopped onion, spinach chopped and mixed in, fresh herbs from the garden (basil, thyme, oregano, green onion), I just throw in any amount, I like a lot of spices. I also added some garlic mix spices (the container from costco)! These suckers tasted like heaven  and super filling 😋. They were topped on a rice cake, 0% plain Greek yogurt and siracha and a bed of spinach with a side of a few sweet potato fries (no butter or oil, just seasoned) 😍💪!

Meal prep made easy. I made 6 beautiful Teriyaki Chicken bowls with brown rice and steamed veggies perfectly measured and portioned out in an hour. Brown rice and veggies were made with the rice cooker while the 2.5 pounds of chicken was made on a #georgeforemangrill in about 15 minutes🥘

This has made all my lunches for the week and they are pretty tasty and filling! This was so easy to make that while it was cooking, i multi tasked and did my homework for public health biology 🤓
Meal prep does not have to be complicated or take all day. Make it simple a taste good and thats all you need 👍

In today’s back to basics we were looking at giving your body more of what it needs in terms of nutrition and how you can make the first step by levelling up the first meal of the day. Own your day by owning your breakfast and start the day with the best foot forward.

. Pueeees aquí está la receta de esta belleza 😍 neta me quedó espectacular jajaja se las dejo para que puedan ustedes también deleitar su paladar. 👩🏼‍🍳

. - 📝 • 1 taza de harina de avena pueden sustituirla por otro tipo de harina por ejemplo con coco y almendra queda espectacular • 2 plátanos hechos puré (aplastados) 🍌 • 3 cucharadas de cacao en polvo yo utilice el de @harmonyproducts • 1 huevo de @santocorral • stevia al gusto, yo no le puse porque el plátano ya estaba muy dulce ya que estaba madurisimo • canelita • vainilla • 1 cucharadita de polvo para hornear de @bobsredmillmexico • chorrito de leche de coco. - Mezclas todos los ingredientes (yo lo hice de manera manual me encanta como queda) y los pones en tu molde para panqué previamente “engrasado” yo utilicé aceite de coco de @hechoparalavida y con una servilletita lo puse para no crear exceso después de eso vacíe la mezcla en el molde y puse arriba cuadritos de chocolate Turín 70% cacao 💜 y al horno por 30 minutos a 180• te recomiendo que lo vayas checando desde el minuto 20 con el típico palillo y si sale limpio es que ya está. .

I have been craving cheese all day, so instead of depriving myself and not satisfying my craving, I'm granting my body all of the delicious cheese it wants...but I'm doing it in a healthy way! I'm doing it with our Slow Cooker Cheesy Spaghetti with Homemade Sausage 👏  I hope you're all putting your slow cooker to use today as much as I am (check out this morning's breakfast post) 🙈 This dinner recipe is so yummy and has 25 grams of protein per serving! 💪 
Ingredients 👇 
1 lb lean ground turkey sausage (check out the recipe on our site) 
1 (24 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce (no sugar added) 
8 ounces (uncooked) 100% whole wheat spaghetti, about 2/3 of a 13.25 oz box, break into small pieces before adding to meat mixture 
1 cup low fat cottage cheese 
1 cup skim mozzarella cheese, shredded 
1 cup low-fat ricotta cheese 
1 teaspoon dried oregano 
1 tablespoon chopped (fresh) basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil 
Kosher or sea Salt to taste 
1/2 tsp ground black pepper

. Pueeees aquí está la receta de esta belleza 😍 neta me quedó espectacular jajaja se las dejo para que puedan ustedes también deleitar su paladar. 👩🏼‍🍳

. - 📝 • 1 taza de harina de avena pueden sustituirla por otro tipo de harina por ejemplo con coco y almendra queda espectacular • 2 plátanos hechos puré (aplastados) 🍌 • 3 cucharadas de cacao en polvo yo utilice el de @harmonyproducts • 1 huevo de @santocorral • stevia al gusto, yo no le puse porque el plátano ya estaba muy dulce ya que estaba madurisimo • canelita • vainilla • 1 cucharadita de polvo para hornear de @bobsredmillmexico • chorrito de leche de coco. - Mezclas todos los ingredientes (yo lo hice de manera manual me encanta como queda) y los pones en tu molde para panqué previamente “engrasado” yo utilicé aceite de coco de @hechoparalavida y con una servilletita lo puse para no crear exceso después de eso vacíe la mezcla en el molde y puse arriba cuadritos de chocolate Turín 70% cacao 💜 y al horno por 30 minutos a 180• te recomiendo que lo vayas checando desde el minuto 20 con el típico palillo y si sale limpio es que ya está. .

Who else is thankful for @sweetgreen 🙋🏼‍♀️ Sometimes you’re just in a pinch, on the go, or just LAZY. The only thing that can make those situations worse is getting HANGRY or filling up on SH!T. Healthy fast food options are incredibly limited, so I’m grateful for places like this that make it easy  to choose something good 🌱🌱
