We made custom cups for Bear Coast Coffee that we're proud of. Making cups that last is no easy task. It really starts at the core with the raw ingredients used to create the porcelain. Once you get that right, ceramics become extremely durable. However, much like specialty coffee, there must be flawless execution at every step of the process. Often times, the compromise in execution occurs when dealing with printing for custom cups. Since it is much more laborious, tedious, and requires the proper equipment to fire ware at such high temperatures, you often see cups with print that just comes off with time; this is because the proper care has not been taken in decorating. As with most things in life, when you take the time to do things right, the result is an extremely high quality result and something you're proud of. In this video, you'll see a brief clip of what it looks like for our cafe wares to be fired for our friends over at @bearcoastcoffee.
Stay tuned in coming weeks as we take you further into the process of making custom cups. For now, enjoy this clip of Bear Coast's "High Tide Mugs" taking a ride on the kiln to be fired at 2,500 degrees fahrenheit. - 21 days ago
