Cross-training can strengthen the hip flexors!!
As pole dancers we use our hip flexors A LOT. And often in very repetitive ways. Cross-training can strengthen hip flexors which is why @flexi.lexi95 and I are getting on the barre and slowing our movements down with a ballet inspired warmup. These controlled strength based exercise, which are adapted from ballet, are helping us check technique; ensuring we are concentrating on targeting, strengthening and building the right muscles. Tight and weak hip flexors make it very difficult to keep technique in any other areas of the body, which leaves dancers open to multiple injuries. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
