This week's Tea In Review is David's Tea Forever Nuts by @davidstea
It's one I sampled with my husband awhile ago and added to my recent order at his request.
To be honest, it's really not the sort of tea I normally go for, but I'm finding the more I drink it the more I enjoy it.
I'll elaborate: the tea is a blend of almonds, cinnamon, apple and beetroot. None of which are the type of teas I prefer on a regular basis, because I generally prefer strong, intense flavors.
This tea doesn't have strong flavors, instead it has a sweet, delicate almost apple-pie sort of a flavor that really keeps you returning.
Intensity-wise it's definitely a mild tea, but as an unexpected convert I can see even strong tea lovers taking to it.
Because it's caffeine free it's a wonderful after-dinner tea, and the oils from the almonds also give it a very subtle richness, making the tea feel more indulgent than expected.
Given the fruity flavor of the apple it's a tea I'd recommend drinking black and unsweetened. I don't see this one performing well as an iced tea because he flavor could be easily diluted by excess water. Instead, I recommend enjoying it as you would apple pie: hot, and possibly with a side of vanilla ice cream. - 3 hours ago
