As someone who grew up with Asperger's Syndrome, I have some stuffed animals. "Did you call them stuffies when you were little?" No. I wasn't mute, but a vague memory I have is being unable to find my voice to point to one of my stuffed animals. "Do you want your lovey?" and I nodded. Lovey is the term my mom uses and I use it, too. The plural is 'loveys' (lovies is the alternate spelling) and it's basically considered a coping mechanism for kids, especially those with autism. So (whether you're familiar with the TBDL/ ABDL community or not) next time you're out and you see a child of 7 or 8 (even older) holding any sort of stuffed animal, don't judge them.
To any and all littles reading this: don't forget to let your caregiver(s) wash your stuffed animal every now and then. I know that the separation process is difficult, but I'm sure your caregiver will reward you for waiting. #noshame #mdlbcommunity #mdlgcommunity #cgcommunity #ddlbcommunity #ddlgcommuntiy - 14 hours ago
