Deload week. Bench is clicking on all cylinders as I’ve been drilling it. Still doing volume. This was my 3rd set of 5 at 8 reps (though I did 9 here). 60% of my 1RM. Thanks to @neilkitzmiller for the video and encouragement. Prior to this I did high bar squat (which now feels downright natural to me). .

Meine Lieeeben☺️ Heute war ich schon am Morgen trainieren. Hab heute nochmal vor der Deload- Woche richtig Gas gegeben. Morgen noch Workout und dann wartet eine gemütliche Woche (bzg. Sport) auf mich. Wenig Gewicht, 0 Anstrengung und absolute Regeneration.🙊. Die Muskeln werden aufgeladen und mit Energie gefüttert🔋. Einfach mal die Routine unterbrechen und dem Körper eine andere Seite zeigen. Eigentlich könnte ich auch gar nicht trainieren😵. Da ich das aber wahrscheinlich moralisch nicht hinkriegen würde, habe ich mich mit meinem Trainer auf Seniorenturnen geeinigt. Ich werde mir jetzt ne ganz gechillte Playlist runterladen😴 und das Training mal nur als Entspannung sehen. So kann ich die Technik mal so richtig auskosten und mal nur aufgrund der Temperaturen schwitzen. Dann werde ich übernächste Woche mit ordentlich Motivation und Fokus mit meinem neuen Plan beginnen und durchstarten. Freu mich😍👍🏼.

Wenig Gewicht, 0 Anstrengung und absolute Regeneration.. Die Muskeln werden aufgeladen und mit Energie gefüttert. Einfach mal die Routine unterbrechen und dem Körper eine andere Seite zeigen. Eigentlich könnte ich auch gar nicht trainieren. Da ich das aber wahrscheinlich moralisch nicht hinkriegen würde, habe ich mich mit meinem Trainer auf Seniorenturnen geeinigt. Ich werde mir jetzt ne ganz gechillte Playlist runterladen😴 und das Training mal nur als Entspannung sehen. So kann ich die Technik mal so richtig auskosten und mal nur aufgrund der Temperaturen schwitzen. Dann werde ich übernächste Woche mit ordentlich Motivation und Fokus mit meinem neuen Plan beginnen und durchstarten. Freu mich🏼. Und ihr so? Deload deadlifts! Up to 115lbs for 5. I'm trying so freaking hard to slow it down and FOCUS on form. I reset for each and tried to focus on leaning back/pulling the bar up along my shins. I have a bad habit of pulling more with my back than pushing away the ground with my legs.

i've been super behind on posting lately!! (this pic + vid are from monday lol) i think it's a combo of being busy + bad body image. but i'm looking to make some changes to fix that! here's what my plan is:

1️⃣ new workout split to add excitement. i'm doing my deload week right now and will start a new split next week. i'm also looking to change my workout split to four days a week instead of six so i can better balance my schedule.
2️⃣ sleep more! i think not getting enough sleep has had a huge affect on both my body and my mood. i feel more tired, less motivated at the gym, and also a lot more self critical with my progress and how i look. i think the new workout split will help me get more sleep too.

Deload week.. kinda 😅 This week I was supposed to do a deload week to give my sore, tired muscles a much needed break of the heavy lifting 🙄 Turns out I’m absolute rubbish at deloads... I do drop the weight & I go higher rep, but I end up doing hiit, supersets, dropsets, giant sets 😈🤣 Anywho, this is from yesterday’s leg workout 💪🏽Smith sumo squats superset with narrow stance squats 💗 Happy Squatting! 🍑

What is a deload week? A deload week is not a week off, but a week where training is lighter, less taxing, and it gives your body the rest it needs. It can be useful to take them every so often, especially with higher loads of training. It gives your nervous system time to rest, decrease inflammation, as well as decrease cortisol from training. Training is high stress on your body so taking time to train less and rest will do wonders for your body and mind! I’m using this week to give my joints time to recover before starting my next training block, which is going to be different than the ones I’ve had the past year and I’m pretty stoked for that. 💪🏻 .

Deload OHP! Program called for 25lbs - 30lbs - 35lbs for 5 each. I went an extra round of 5 at 40lbs. I'm restarting the entire program, so I don't feel too bad about going up a little higher than it called for. It's all baby weight anyway. 🤷🏻‍♀️ One day when I can lift respectable weight, maybe I'll stick to exactly the program. 😜

When life doesn't give you enough lemons, you squeeze as much juice out of those lemons as you can! Took the new trap bar for a ride during deload week only to find out that it only fits 315 😭😭😭...so farmer walks it is! Great for my grip and core work, and the position of the load feels great on my hamstrings and 🍑🍑🍑🔥🔥🔥 Also, if I were a photographer (which I'm not) I would call these photos "All the weights" and "Less rubber/More metal"

Training is as efficient as the recovery, as my trainer @niksuewer usually explains to me. It took me some time to realize that sometimes my body needs more time to recover completely. Consequently, I changed my mindset. Now, I take more care of myself. From time to time no training, but still active, no stress, enough sleep, good and healthy food and surrounded by loving people.💕 I will come back with new energy and stronger than before.🤗💪
