The word “disciple” in the book of Matthew, when Jesus is giving the great commission is a verb. In English, it doesn’t make sense quite as much. Because I’m the sense Jesus uses it, it’s both a verb and a noun. It is a person DOING SOMETHING. ️️️
A disciple is someone who makes disciples. A person who does not, is not fitting the definition of the word. The disciple is learning BY doing. Not just consuming in a classroom, whatever form the classroom takes. Be it podcasts, church services, or even your daily devotional. Do not be only hearers of the word but DOERS of it.
Accumulated knowledge is not the measure of a disciple. A transformed life, that transforms lives is. Some might call this fruit. ️️️
Let the word come alive to you. Do it. It changes everything. Photo cred: @loveinjustin - 5 hours ago
