ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen are reporting that Eagles QB Carson Wentz will return to full team 11o11 practices on Sunday.
Wentz was cleared to return after meeting and talking with the team’s medical staff and HC Doug Pederson.
Wentz is not expected to play in any preseason games but that will not preclude him from starting in the season opener against the Falcons. The team is adamant that Wentz will not be placed on injured reserve and will start the season on the 53 man roster at the very least.
The report mentioned that the Eagles will obviously be cautious with Wentz’s health but “his progress has been notable both in rehab and in drills.”
Another nugget: QB Nick Foles may return to practice as early as this week as his injury was very minor.
