Final thoughts on what the Eagles do with their first pick:
My prediction is that they trade back 10-15 picks, get an extra 3rd and 5th, and select CB Mike Hughes.
If they stay put I think they will select RB Derrius Guice or CB Jaire Alexander.
Making a case for different positions:
DE: A dark horse for their first pick is a DE. Believe it or not DE is a need. After the 2018 season Graham, Allen, and Bennett could all be gone. Selecting a DE like Davenport or Landry would make a great pairing with Barnett for the future. Would NOT be surprised at all.
LB: The Eagles could use a young LB, as Hicks is entering a contract year. Although I don’t see Leighton Vander Esch or Rashaan Evans being there at 32.
RB: Howie Roseman has never taken a RB in the first three rounds. I only see him taking one if Derrius Guice is still available. Even then, I wouldn’t be shocked if he trades back still. Sony Michel is a great talent, but injury history is scary.
CB: The Eagles really really need a nickel CB. They have some options if they stay put at 32 or trade back. They could take a guy like Jaire Alexander at 32 or trade back and grab Mike Hughes. Both guys could fill a hole at slot. I don’t see them drafting a CB who can only play outside.
WR: Nelson Agholor and Mike Wallace are both on contract years so do not rule out a WR. They could get a guy like Anthony Miller or Courtland Sutton to make their WR group younger and more talented.
What position do you think they go?
