Week 7 of #Transform2018. It's hard to believe it's almost been 2 months already!

Five weeks to go. I'm doing good with my targets. I've reached 35 minutes non-stop jogs and I've almost done level 4 on 100% Army Fit. The challenge will be the weight but I'm not massively hung up on it because I'm feeling great right now. Improvements can be made but hey, I'll get there!

I'm happy with my chest looking a little more pecs and a little less titties!

Yeap, it’s official, I’m a fat bastard! I got some shock last night hitting the scales at 196lbs, 89kg or 14 Stone.

I knew myself I was way overweight but this was a big shock. I didn’t check the fat % but no need at this moment in time, it’s going to be high.

Back at it from today. Going to stick with 3200 cals a week because of the Open to make sure the energy levels stay up. I’ll cut the cals down again by 200 cals after the Open.

Target is a very gradual weight / fat loss over the next two months and then cut to between 11 and 13 % before the end of the summer.

Alles zusammen mischen und dann für 3 min in die Mikrowelle. 😚 (ACHTUNG: kocht schnell über. 🙈) Dann nach Belieben mit Früchten oder ähnlichem toppen. 😋

Breakfast was a wrap for my HXB with bacon, mushrooms, egg and spinich🍄🌯 it was super tasty and it hit the spot! Sitting down with my girls with a cup of tea trying to decide what to do today☕

With all the health troubles I’ve encountered this past 12 months, it’s sometimes easy to forget just how far I have come.

We’re so quick to be dissatisfied, heaping more & more pressure on ourselves to be even better, rather than taking the time to be proud & grateful for what we have already achieved.

For me, this was ultimately detrimental to my health. It made me ignore the signs that something was amiss. It made me push myself too hard. It hindered more than it helped.

Now I am learning to set healthy goals. I’m learning to listen to my body. I’m learning to be kind to myself. -
Remember your before & during, because there is no ‘after’. Whether your transformation is physical or spiritual, or only just beginning, it is something to be honoured ✨✨

Mango + Passionfruit fool, recipe from BBC website:

•mango chopped and blitzed to a purée•stir in diced mango  and passionfruit seeds•fold in 0% Greek yoghurt•served with some diced frozen fruit - mango, strawberry, peach and pineapple. Bit of cinnamon on the top too•

SW - puréed mango is 3 per 100g, no idea how much I used for the whole thing so we’ll call it an even nothing as I’m not into synning fruit! 😛

V sobotu se uskutečnila přednáška o moderních trendech ve stravě a suplementaci, kde jsem představil 10 rozdílných témat od spalování tuků a zvyšování psychické výkonnosti, přes optimalizaci zdraví a fytoterapii, až po abstraktnější témata jako zvyšování osobní pohody nebo hledání štěstí.

Na přednášce zaznělo přes 60 praktických tipů a rad, a pro ty z Vás, kdo se jí nemohli zúčastnit, nyní přináším 5 z nich: 
1️⃣Přestaňte dodržovat restriktivní diety, kdy se udržujete v kalorickém deficitu a sacharidové vlny. Jedná se o nejefektivnější nástroje pro zpomalení Vaší štítné žlázy a hubnutí svalové hmoty. 
2️⃣Nedostatek cholinu ve stravě se může projevovat jako chronické bolesti hlavy, kdy mozek kanibalizuje sám sebe. K tomu nejčastěji dochází u starých lidí a veganů (nejvíce cholinu je v živočišných produktech). Pak je potřeba cholin suplementovat.

Goals to work to... my 5th 5k Swimathon, I'd like my time close as possible to 160 mins, (I swim breast stroke it's painful lol) I'd like my 10k time between 1-1.10 leading to an aim of 3h35 for the 20 mile run in September... 💥WHAT ACTUALLY MATTERS FOR FAT LOSS?💥

There are many misconceptions about matters when it comes to losing fat, so I would like to help you differentiate things that truly matter from those that don’t. 👇

WHAT YOU SHOULD FOCUS ON: 
The most important thing is total calorie intake. Calories in vs calories out is what ultimately makes you lose or gain weight, so if you want to lose fat, you just have to eat less calories than your body burns throughout the day. 🍕

Most of you probably don’t want to just lose weight, but also gain muscle. You’ll achieve this by eating enough protein and lifting heavy weights, regardless the gender. Yes, it is simple as that. Caloric deficit, focusing on protein and strength training are the key factors to weight loss. Furthermore make sure to get enough sleep, eat enough water, and be consistent and patient. 🍏

On the other hand, there are things many people focus on that don’t truly matter, such as meal timing or picking the best supplement. Sure, none of the things on the right are bad and all of them will help you in a way, but none of this will help you if you are still in caloric surplus, even if eating “clean”. 🍦

There is no best diet or the best supplement. There is no the best exercise or the best time to eat. Cardio also shouldn’t be your main focus for the look you want, and doing tons of ab workouts isn’t actually the best way to get lean stomach and abs. I’ve already covered most of those topics in my previous post, so I won’t go in detail in this post. 🍭

To sum up; focus on tracking your nutrition and protein, and lifting heavy 3-6 times a week. Everything else, such as supplements and cardio are optional and it is up to you when you are going to eat, if and which supplement are you going to use, will you do cardio or not, etc. Focus on basics, and learn more about everything else later.

My Strength and Power have dropped down by 30% from Patella Tendonitis because of muscular imbalanced 😬

My left Hamstring and Glutes are now weaker than the ones on the right, and the core on the right is weaker on the left. Because of this, my left knee getting all the beat up from heavy lifting and explosive training when the "Big Boys" are still asleep 😴

Yes, Mobility and Corrective stretches are great.. but it means nothing if you ignore your Rehabilitation and Unilateral Strength training. This is something that I have learned the hard way.

The only time you start to understand the balance of your body when something is fcuked up.
