Let’s get real here.
You ever see an IG account and wonder how they get those pictures? How they’re so clear or positioned a certain way? If most people are having professional shots done?
I am a real, normal, goofy, down to earth, not so rich, MN girl. Here’s my secret: I use a bench to set my phone one.
I prop my phone up against my talk water bottle (full preferably).
I set my phone to “portrait mode” - no idea if this is on androids or other phones, I know that only some iPhones have this
I set the timer for 10 seconds
I hit the “take a picture” button
I run to my spot, get in position, and quickly smile
I redo this anywhere from 6 to 27 times depending on the day, my mood, the wind (seriously, for all the times the wind has knocked my phone over), the lighting, and how picky I’m being.
And that’s it.
I woke up this morning, did my hair and makeup for work, still in my pajamas, had some tea, and decided to take a picture. And above 🏼 is exactly how this one got taken.
Nothing fancy. I’m no model. No flashy cameras. Only 7 tries before I decided that I liked this one, which was the 3rd one I actually took. Really no plan, all spur of the moment. No fancy outfit. My normal, everyday hair and makeup.
It was me just being me. And honestly, this picture is probably a tad weird, out of place, some will probably wonder what the hell I was doing sitting up against a fence. But it’s a pretty background and I liked it.
Whatevs 🤷🏼♀️ Go be yourself, okay?
