I can’t believe that I was ever this skinny. This wasn’t a healthy “skinny” this was me starving myself burning more calories than I was eating. I was extremely depressed at this time and wasn’t happy at all. I always thought “if I get to this weight I’ll be happy” but it turns out over the years of going up and down drastically on the scale, the only way to be truly happy is to love your body no matter what it looks like. Respect your body because I didn’t weighing at 120 and I sure don’t now weighing at 185. But it’s okay because I know it’s all gonna change and I’m gonna learn to love my body inside and out, and respect it the way it should be. #latenightthoughts #loveyourself #makingchangesforthebetter #eatingwell #exersicedaily #believeinyourself #iwillsurvive #fitisthenewskinny

It's #legday and also the Pacers won last night so free donuts! Not much better than free donuts on leg day! .
We are strategically lifting heavy and then enjoying our TREAT <--- For so long there has been guilt surrounding food. We eat something considered "unhealthy" and we immedately start allowing the choice to create guilt- we feel like we now need to work out harder, longer to work that donut off. We view our food choices as right and wrong.

I have seen so many people posting about how they "fell off the wagon" or "cheated on thier diet" and how guilty they feel for the misstep. There is grace in every day- that doesn't give an excuse, but rather an opportunity to acknowledge what happened, understand that it makes a miniscule impact on things in the long run, and keep moving along towards your goals. We strive for progress over perfection in the FASTer Way To Fat Loss. Why are you restricting- nutrition isn't about being restrictive- its about being INTENTIONAL. .
I use the word treat- why? Why are we cheating on anything? When did cheating become something good? Cheating can create feelings of guilt- treating yourself within the frame of an overall healthy lifestyle, incorporated as part of a highly effective nutrition and workout plan, can help overcome the guilty feeling. .

Personally? I don't like the idea of them, especially for folks who, like me, have struggled to maintain a healthy body weight⠀

You see, when I was overweight, cheat meals were the LAST thing I needed to be thinking about. Having a "cheat" meal was just a way to reinforce my bad habits with overeating. And when old eating habits did take over, my "cheat meal" would turn into cheat days or weeks. In fact, I'd usually end up so much that the guilt I felt afterward made me feel worse than before 🙁👎⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That's why I don't like using regularly planned cheat meals. All it does is encourage "good & bad" food labeling and unhealthy eating habits/patterns.⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now, that does NOT mean I won't have fun and let my hair down every once in a while 💃🥂 I just reserve cheat meals (or as I call them, "Refuels") for special occasions and spontaneous events.⠀

I try not to make a big deal of them either. Yes, I'll enjoy the extra food, but I won't make it the primary focus of the evening. Instead, I put the focus on the people I'm with and the memories we're making together 👯‍♂️🕺💃⠀

When you go in with this type of "nonchalant" mindset, you're much less likely to overdo it. Not only that, the next day you'll feel recharged 🔋, rejuvenated 🌳, and motivated to continue making progress rather than bloated🤰, sluggish 🐌, or full of regret from losing control.⠀

Yoga has well and truly taught me that I have no awareness of my body 😂 Especially when I'm upside down, I had no idea where my legs were when I was doing this 🙃 I've managed a forearm stand today as well 🙌🙌. A few days ago it felt genuinely impossible for me. I do have a massive bruise on my foot from hitting a chair on the way back down (it's so swollen I'm actually limping 👀), but I'm still taking that as progress 😂

Where are my weekend warriors at?! I feel so much happier and more productive when I work out on the weekends. When I first started my fitness journey I dreaded working out on the weekends because I had a negative mindset towards it. I felt like it was work instead of a part of my daily routine. Now I look forward to it every weekend because it sets the tone for the rest of the day. I enjoy it because it’s part of my daily habits! You may have to get up earlier or work around a busy schedule but it’s totally worth it! You’ll also have better results with whatever you’re doing because you’re not taking the weekend “off”. In drei Monaten geht es endlich ans Meer 🌊...
Leute, ich genieße wirklich die Sonne hier in Deutschland. Nur vermisse ich es sehr dem Rauschen der Wellen zuzuhören und die Füße in den Sand zu stecken 🏖️. Leider heißt es für mich erstmal abwarten, aber deshalb lasse ich  den Kopf nicht hängen!
Ich bleibe fokussiert und trainiere fleißig weiter 💪. Dabei hilft mir das 12 Wochen Programm von David Lengauer, mit dem ich sicherlich das Beste aus meinem Körper rausholen werde 😊. Eine weitere Motivationsspritze ist heute in Form eines Paketes gekommen. Zumindest der Inhalt hat mir ein Lächeln in mein Gesicht gezaubert. Das Online Shopping ist etwas eskaliert, aber ich konnte mich einfach nicht entscheiden😀. Bin sehr gespannt die Produkte von foodspring auszuprobieren!

💪 In isolation, the calorie difference between the two serving sizes in these picture seems minimal. But if you’re eating an extra 20 calories here and an extra 50 calories there, and doing so over multiple meals, eventually it’s going to add up. And these seemingly little oversights can be a reason why your weight won’t budge. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💪 What’s tricky about eyeballing portions is that the variance between a small and a medium or an extra ounce or lick is often nothing more than one or two more bites, which is hardly noticeable when you’re actually eating. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💪 If you’re used to eyeballing your portions, keep in mind it’s easy to underestimate how many calories you’re actually taking in. Or, if you are  tracking your foods in an app but only using generic metrics like small or medium rather than exact amounts, there can be quite a bit of variance. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💪 If your progress has stalled, moving to using a food scale to track your intake can make a difference, as it will give you a very accurate representation of exactly how many calories you’re eating. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💪 This isn’t to say you must always be 100% precise with your tracking. If you’ve been seeing results simply eyeballing your portions, then keep at it. But if not, it can help to be more meticulous with your measuring, at least for a little while.
