Trap/Levator Scap stretch
These two muscles are responsible for elevating the shoulder blades and laterally flexing the neck. We may not be in the gym doing shoulder shrugs every single day, but as humans we tend to have poor posture, especially when carrying things. And when we carry we like to have raised shoulders.
Here is a video highlighting a stretch that can be done anywhere to remove some of that tension: 🗃Grab onto a pole, table, chair, weight, or any sturdy object. Keeping your arm extended try to lift the object (heavy object) or leanaway from the object to stretch out your traps.
🗃 To add to this trap stretch and also hit more muscles in the neck turn you head to the opposing side and flex it to that side (think ear to shoulder) - 5 hours ago
