My yoga practice looks different every day. .
Sometimes I get frustrated with myself or my body because my balance isn’t as good as it was yesterday, or I can feel that my form is off, or some muscles are tighter than they were before. .
I’ve been trying to do one of Adriene’s YouTube videos every day this past week, and the other day she said something that really struck me. “Don’t focus on what’s not working, focus on what IS working for you and what feels good.” .
It’s easy to focus on things that aren’t going well for us, in yoga, in exercise, in life, etc. But every now and then it’s good idea to consciously turn attention to the things that are going well. Maybe things that have improved over time or just feel better than they did before. .
So focusing on the good has been my intention for the past couple days. Hope you all had a great week! What have you been focusing on/thinking about?
