If you desired change, you wouldn’t spend time watching everyone live the life you want to live, in the body you want to have and wishing you were taking action or doing something more. 
You need to make small steps to create a big dream. 
A small step, is better than no step.

Single Leg Deadlift Variation 
This is a great variation for anyone who struggles with balance or issues learning how to perform a single leg deadlift.

What I like about this variation is it allows me to really focus on the weight over balance.

I use this method when I’ve done a pretty taxing workout (like heavy squats) before it where my back may be a little fatigued which is why I have shortened my range of motion by placing steps under my plates. 
I could really focus on my glutes and hamstrings in this position. 
My non working leg slides back behind me each rep. This helps me to keep my hips parallel to the floor (no twisting of my lower back or hips) so I could perform this exercise at a heavier weight with good form .

I also focused on lowering the barbell evenly - this was a sign that I was staying strong throughout the movement. 
How to perform: 
If you have bigger plates than this, you won’t need a step. But because these are small plates I started them on a box. 
Your starting position is exactly the same as a romanian deadlift but on one leg. 
The non working leg is going to start behind the body. 
Keep ALL the weight on the standing leg. 
The leg going backwards is just to guide you and keep your hips square and to help guide you in the movement. 
Keep your back straight, bar against your shin. 
Keep a slight bend in your knee and the bar starting on your shin. Here you should feel a lot of tension in the standing leg. 
Stay tight, deep breathe in, and think about your glutes and hamstrings pulling the bar up your body into a standing position. 
Keep chin neutral throughout the movement and really squeezing the bar into your hips at the top. 
Push your hips back and bend at the hips while slowly lowering the bar back down to the start position. 
Stay tight at the bottom before going into the next rep. 😘 enjoy!

Single Leg Deadlift Variation This is a great variation for anyone who struggles with balance or issues learning how to perform a single leg deadlift. What I like about this variation is it allows me to really focus on the weight over balance. I use this method when I’ve done a pretty taxing workout (like heavy squats) before it where my back may be a little fatigued which is why I have shortened my range of motion by placing steps under my plates. I could really focus on my glutes and hamstrings in this position. My non working leg slides back behind me each rep. This helps me to keep my hips parallel to the floor (no twisting of my lower back or hips) so I could perform this exercise at a heavier weight with good form . I also focused on lowering the barbell evenly - this was a sign that I was staying strong throughout the movement. How to perform: If you have bigger plates than this, you won’t need a step. But because these are small plates I started them on a box. Your starting position is exactly the same as a romanian deadlift but on one leg. The non working leg is going to start behind the body. Keep ALL the weight on the standing leg. The leg going backwards is just to guide you and keep your hips square and to help guide you in the movement. Keep your back straight, bar against your shin. Keep a slight bend in your knee and the bar starting on your shin. Here you should feel a lot of tension in the standing leg. Stay tight, deep breathe in, and think about your glutes and hamstrings pulling the bar up your body into a standing position. Keep chin neutral throughout the movement and really squeezing the bar into your hips at the top. Push your hips back and bend at the hips while slowly lowering the bar back down to the start position. Stay tight at the bottom before going into the next rep. enjoy! People underestimate the time it takes for a natural athlete to build muscle. 
If I think about how much time and effort I have put in over the last 10 years of training to build what I have today, that is thousands of hrs of work. 
There is no magic pill. And no magic number of sets and reps that will work. 
It ALL COUNTS. 
Your body doesn’t get built in 12 weeks, 20 weeks, 6 months, 1 year. It’s a lifetime of work that you continuously do with passion, discipline, love, effort, discomfort, sacrifice, trials and error. 
It’s not a sprint it’s a marathon. 
I get so excited SO excited that I still have so much potential and progress to make over over the next 10 + years. 
I haven’t even peaked yet. 
Every day is a chance to be better and do better. 
Get excited about your progress. 
Be proud of your hard work. Appreciate your struggles .

Strength training: 120kg Low Bar x 3

It’s been over a year since I have lifted this number due to my strength training taking a back seat due to injuries. 
I went back to @australianstrengthcoach  And within 6 sessions of squatting I went from 80kg x 5 reps to 120kg x 3. 
My focus is on technique over load so I don’t break down again. 
Although I didn’t squat for a year, I focused on uni-lateral exercises and re training my movement patterns. I worked through multiple rep ranges, overload work and a lot of volume. 
I focused on getting strong through every rep range which allowed me to train different muscles fibres. I feel this has been a great benefit to my glute development!!
