Nothing satisfies me and nourishes more than raw fruit and vegetables. I no longer crave cooked food. 
Your body becomes addicted to what you feed it on a daily basis. What you eat becomes a part of your DNA and determines your gut bacteria too. Your gut bacteria then sends messages to your brain to make you crave the food it needs to survive. So if you eat raw fruit and vegetables, you’ll eventually only crave these healthy, life-giving foods and have a healthy, feel good flora. Isn’t that amazing? Keep at it 🌱🍌

The fact that I can casually eat a couple pieces of chocolate at night without devouring the entire bar is still kind of mind blowing to me when I remember what my relationship with food used to feel like.
#
Every night I would have the best intentions.  I’d spend all day thinking about what I was going to make for dinner, but as soon as dinner was over I *never* felt satisfied.  You know the feeling - wandering the kitchen, opening cupboard doors and the fridge searching for one snack or another to fill what feels like a never-satisfied hole in your stomach. 
#
The problem was that I was going about things all wrong.  My routine was the same night after night which is why my habit refused to budge.  I was stressed and overly restrictive with my food except between the hours of 7-11pm.  I blamed my lack of willpower for my self-perceived “failure” when it came to the foods I was eating. 
#
It wasn’t until I started approaching food from a full body perspective that I started making progress.  And with so many years spent in that phase of all-or-nothing, it’s still a pleasant surprise when I realize that it’s now second nature to just enjoy a reasonable amount of food rather than going off he deep end and beating myself up for “overindulging.”
#
So many people struggle with overeating at night, and it’s one of the biggest obstacles for many people when it comes to changing their relationship with food. Putting together #tea bags while watching #usa try to climb onto the podium in the women’s figure skating event! Who out there has tried to make their own tea bags? It’s so easy peasy and you can customize to suit your taste! I love our little local tea shop in #Snohomish—they helped me pick out all the teas to help with my liver function. And, not being a tea lover in the past, it has totally helped me fall in love with tea. I now drink 2-3 mugs a day! (Don’t worry, I’m not giving up my coffee habit anytime soon!) #teadrinker #diytea #raedunn #healthyliving #optimalwellness #healthcoaching

Breathing is such an underrated part of our bodies functioning. Simply taking a few deep breaths prior to a meal or snack helps us shift to the parasympathetic nervous system which allows our bodies to digest, absorb and burn calories with greater efficiency. 
Breathing more deeply fuels your body, as oxygen is essential to digestion and the more we have, the more effective the system becomes! 
So take a minute, SLOW DOWN and breathe! <3

Bowls make a fun lunch. How I try to construct mine: 
1. Start with a Base Layer of Greens (kale, watercress, arugula, spinach)
2. Add a Variety of Veggies & choice of protein (beans, lentils, tempeh, tofu)
3. Top with Grains, Nuts & Seeds (crunch!)
4. Dress with Your Favorite Sauce/Dressing
5. Add a spoonful of fermented veggies (kraut, kimchi etc.)

I wear a baggy sweatshirt or t-shirt when I work out, most of the time. No fancy pants over here. (Showcased by this super-flattering picture I snapped tonight amidst my track sprints.)

I don't work out to show off my body. Social media has the potential to make fitness seem one-dimensional. It seems now to be considered "fit," you really have to dedicate your life to it. I'd rather not count everything everyday for the rest of forever.

Working out helps me emotionally cleanse. I prove to myself that I can do hard things, that I am strong, and that I am resilient. I love the sense of accomplishment. I will continue to insist that there is no right way to workout, and no right way to look.

We aren't interested in selling a body type. We're interested in creating confidence, finding what motivates you, helping you feel resilient and strong. With our growing clientele, it has been incredible to see the expansion and confidence emerge. Thanks for letting us be a part of your journey. ❤️❤️❤️

I wanted to share this and my personal experience struggling with getting a correct diagnosis, which has been a LONG journey.

Adrenal Fatigue is a real thing and the symptoms can very easily be misdiagnosed especially for a thyroid disorder which can look almost the exact same in how it manifests in the body.
*
*
One of the first doctors I went to when I started feeling exhaustion, having sleep problems, and unexplained weight gain told me I was “classic thyroid” and wrote me a prescription.
*
*
Knowing there was more going on I chose not to take the meds.  I continued to do some digging and finally did a saliva test to check my hormones.
*
*
My Cortisol was pretty much non-existent putting me in stage 3 Adrenal Fatigue!
*
*
My most recent blood work shows totally normal thyroid levels, which tells me my Adrenals are the root of what is happening.
*
*
I am SO glad I listened to my intuition and continued to find answers.
*
*
You have to advocate for yourself and sadly it is VERY hard to find a doctor who will listen.

Last month I started taking LLV (life long vitality) which is a supplement range by dōTerra
.
I didn’t want to speak about them until I had a personally good experience taking them for a decent amount of time.
I’ve worked in health food for years, come across every supplement and herb. I do have my favourites that I will always stick with - But my verdict is 👍👍
.
To be honest my supplement cupboard is rather extensive! I have Ayurvedic herbs, Chinese herbs, western herbs... I end up not even taking half of them because there is too much to take!! I like how LLV has simplified everything into 3 main necessary supplements:
1. Omega 3’s & EFA’s (vegan version avail)
2. Wholefood micronutrients
3. Energy & vitality support
The only other things I like to add daily are:
1. A probiotic 
2. A magnesium at night 
3. Extra Vit D + K in winter .
One thing I have DEF noticed is more energy especially in the afternoon - very important for depleted mamas!

If you aren’t working with a practitioner, if you don’t take any supps or have no idea where to start, I’d be considering LLV. Supplementation is extremely important these days, due to lack of whole food diversity in our diets. It is kinda like your insurance policy for later on!

My favorite way to get paying clients online is by growing our own communities. .

While the other two ways I shared with you this week (personal reach outs + leveraging other people's audience) are great if you're just starting out and want to get the ball rolling, nothing beats growing your own community of buyers.

When you have YOUR own community, you don't have to worry about rules and regulations. You have such a greater opportunity to build the know, like, and trust factor. You can be more consistent. And ultimately you can worry less. .

My business changed when I made it less about the “rules” and more about alignment. .

By ditching weekly appointments, clients were able to better stay aligned with the energy of their ideas as we hashed them out, in real time. .

Instead of having to wait a week, the most they’ve needed to wait is 48 hours now. .

And sometimes it’s right there and then. .

The “let’s get on a Zoom call and hash this thing out” vibe of it all just carries the energy behind the idea to a higher level. .

The sharing of all of my tools (not just the rare few that aren’t held back), ensures faster results and continued momentum for those I serve. .

Coaching within my deeply held core belief of love > rules allows me to help my clients get even better results. .

And that changed EVERYTHANG! 😘💜 .
