Dulce Chavez is currently serving as a senator in the legislation & outreach committee. And Reid Jellison is currently serving as a senator in the Finance & Funding committee.
In an interview, they said,
Dulce, “I’ve helped students by spreading the word on different resources on campus, such as the Safety Fair we hosted in September 2017. Also, another initiative we have worked on this year would be spreading more awareness on UniverCity Key, a discount program offered to students, staff and facility. •
Future goals I have for SGA are continuing to spread awareness about the various resources we have on campus to help students, also bridging the gap between the student body and SGA as a whole. As the newly elected Vice President of Latinx Student Alliance, one of my main goals is making sure we are addressing issues that affect Latinx students directly, as well as other underrepresented students that are part of our CU Denver community.”
Reid, “As a senator, I hope I have approved of events that the student body I represent found useful in some way whether they were entertained, made connections, or had a much needed study session. As a fellow student, I persevere with my mates whether I am sharing notes, feeding the curve, or late night cram sessions in the academic building.
I want to continue facilitating change here at SGA. Outside of SGA, I want to work abroad, master what I am studying, a bunch of other projects in time.”
