I love mornings. I do. It’s because it houses my favorite meal of the deal—breakfast. Okay, let’s be honest. I love food PERIOD, but breakfast is the shizz.
On to some serious stuff. You and I are part of the over 4 million CrossFitters community. We know health—crap! We should be the epitome of health. Yet, a recent CDC study says that only 9% of Americans get the recommended daily value of vegetables (ONLY TWO TO THREE CUPS FOLKS). What the hell dude 🤯
It doesn’t take much to incorporate more veggies into your diet especially if we are talking bare minimum. I’m prepping an asparagus omelette. One cup has 40 calories, 4 grams of protein, 4 grams of fiber and 404 milligrams of potassium (along with a ridiculous amount of vitamins).
Fun Fact: Asparagus is an aphrodisiac! 17th century Herbalist Nicolas Culpepper wrote that asparagus, "stirs up lust in man and woman." Well I guess it makes a bit of sense considering....🏻♀️. So, stop by the Vegetable Guy or store today, pick up some asparagus, put on some Marvin Gaye AND DON’T BE THE 9%!
